Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and Brews — Restaurant in Town of Manlius

I really hate to give 2 stars and the only reason it's getting them is because the manager and waitress was helpful. If I was rating the cooks alone I would give a big fact ZERO. I never had a bad experience at a restaurant before. I always wonder how can people have bad experiences because I usually have the best time at a restaurant between family an the atmosphere is usually pretty good. Tonight I don't know what seem to be the cooks problem. First thing my towering onion rings came out and it was super crispy bordline burnt and missing two rings from the top. I was going to keep them but my daughter was crying because they was nasty(she loves their onion rings) so I sent them back. I NEVER send food back if my order is wrong I would keep it and go somewhere else. When they came back out they were right. I figure maybe they made a mistake because it was two orders coming to my table. Second my burger which I get the same burger every time the Royal Burger but this time I wanted to add an extra patty. Mistake my burger came back with so much pink and I ask for well done no pink. What made it worst was everyone who order at the table burger came back under cook. I know some people like pink burger but our family do not. The manager Sam ended up making our burger which came out better. The only reason I writing this bad review is because I order a to go burger and I was getting ready to go when my spirit told me to check my to go burger. I swear to you its look like the cook only brown the outside and left the whole inside pink. I was so disgusted! I told my waitress I don't want this meal and I don't want anything this because now I feel like this is happening to me on purpose. I used to love eating here!! But I had a bad experience about a month ago and hadn’t returned until last night because I don’t like getting poor service. However last night I didn’t get poor service by my waitress, it was everything else!! When I arrived there was an employee that saw us enter the doors and just walked out from behind the counters back to the bar. Someone came in for take out and she came back over checked them out and left again, not saying anything to us. Then we wait, and wait some more. A girl comes from the seating area to sit us at a table. At this point I can see they aren’t very busy so I am not sure what the wait was for. The girl walks us over to a table /chairs sets, the menus down, a girl comes up to her to talk and she just walks away... says nothing. So I wanted a booth I moved the menus over to a booth and sat down. I noticed my salad had less chicken than usual (I always get the same thing) and i got the end of the bag of mixed salad which was kinda gross itself... but I wasn’t going to complain at this point. So when my food arriveds at the table I always get a to go box so half my salad doesn’t get dressing all over it. Today I am eating that salad and find a hair that is not mine! Gross I know it happens but with everything else this is what I call the last straw. I won’t return to this location again. No more chances there are plenty of other places to eat in this big city! Okay, first of all I don't think I ever realized how genuinely good red robin is. And second, JESUS CHRIST, RED ROBIN IS GENUINELY GOOD. Red robin has always had a special place in my heart. When I was very little I loved the corn doggies (mini corn dog bites) on their kids menu. And personally I think they still hold up. I love their Oreo milkshakes, and also they make their milkshakes fresh. And there's always like an entire extra milkshake they give you in the mixer. A highlight for me is the crispy chicken sandwich, absolutely delicious. And I can't talk about red robin without mentioning the bottomless fries, just impeccable. And last but not least (menu wise) is the red robin original seasoning at each table. If you haven't ever tried it, you are missing out.

Now I'll move past the menu and focus on the service and general atmosphere. The service is usually quick and they have little tablets so you don't have to ask for a check. The atmosphere is also really nice. A lot of cool modern art litterly on every wall. Some of the art is a little too patriotic for my taste, but whatever floats your boat.

The only bad thing I think this place really has, and keep in mind this is really nit-picky. But the only bad thing is that it is also a ghost kitchen. If you don't know what that is, I would recommend the hilarious and informative video about the topic.
