On October 28, 2023, I had to go to urgent care and was waiting there for over three hours to get care because I wasn't feeling well. Afterwards, I decided to get some fast food, so I won't have to cook after waiting so long at the urgent care. I decided to a pizza parlor named Guido's Pizza Parlor in Walden, N.Y. The first thing I noticed is that they're not Italians cooks, so was a little bit skeptical about the taste of the pizza, garlic knots and Calzone's flavor. I'm used to eating the pizza and everything else Italian from New York City, so I'm very choosy about where I eat these things. First and foremost, they took a long time to just warm up the food because the food wasn't just made. I didn't mind because I chose this place so had to wait. Then I was charged a higher price than expected. I finally got the food and went home without checking it, but I should've checked it before I left. I opened the garlic knots, when I got home, and they were so burnt on one side that had to cut the burnt part out and throw it out. The Calzone was also very burnt on one side that it was difficult for me to eat it. The taste was salty and not at all like the Italian pizza from a true Italian pizza parlor. The very next day I call Guido's and spoke to the owner, and I couldn't believe the response from him, instead of apologizing, he insulted me, telling me that I should've gone back the same day and let them see the burnt food. I told the owner I wasn't feeling well and was in the urgent care for over three hours, was extremely tired and he didn't care. Then he told me that I didn't buy it from their place because they don't burn food, that they are perfect. I was shocked. Who doesn't burn food when cooking? Where's the apology for the error, the sympathy for the customer. I told him, "I have the receipt" "I can send you the pictures" plus, no matter what, "The customer is always right". That's how you keep them coming back and spend their hard-earned money there. The owner was closed minded and just kept insulting me. If you want to get charged high prices for burnt food, no apology for getting the food burnt and in a bad condition then go to Guido's Pizza Parlor in Walden, N.Y. They lost a great customer with a business that could've give them lots of business. Shame on them! There's no place like New...

I bought a gyro tonight and asked if it came with fries the girl at the register said no but if I ordered a gyro wrap it came with fries. I decided to stick with the original gyro. After making my oder I felt that the gyro wasn't going to be enough so I ordered a side of Onion rings ....This was to go by the way ..When I get home and sit down to eat it the gyro has literally no meat....One little piece and a whole lot of lettuce and sauce, and it "came with Fries" that didn't come with it !! ?? Didn't need the side order of Onion rings !!!! Well anyway my onion rings were saturated with oil and just not able to be eaten. So looking forward to eating it and was so disappointed in the whole meal for $12.00 needless to say after a few bites I threw the whole thing in the garbage ...Called and told them I wasn't happy about it and they really didn't have any thing to say to make the customer happy at all so pretty much done doing...

The food is decent. There isn't a good selection of pies made if you're looking to order by the slice. Usually only 1 plain and maybe 1 Sicilian. The staff and owners (2 brothers), have been friendly enough when eating in, or taking out. Delivery on the other hand has been less than satisfactory. My order has always taken well over an hour to arrive, food has been missing that I ordered and paid for, one of the owners never gave me back my change (he said he had change in the car and then drove off quickly). Another time I called in an order for delivery, and immediately after I hung up realized I messed up on one of the pie sizes. I called back within minutes asking if they could change the size, and was snapped back at (again by one of the owners), that they already started making the pie. That was my last time ordering from Guido's. I haven't...

Havent gone here in years because they have gotten way more expensive than other around them. Decided to pick some food up on my way home from and eat at home. When I got home, everything was burnt to shit. Everything. The man, pretty sure one of the owners, literally saw everything was burnt, wrapped it up tight, and then handed it to me and charged full price. Use to be one of the best in the area, now they just don't give a shit and are expensive. Won't be going back until there's a new owner or sold.

Whoever said the garlic knots were overcooked and burnt lied so hard. These are absolutely perfect, and whoever said the people that run the place aren’t Italian, NEWS FLASH not all pizza places are run by italians. Relax Karens, thanks for great garlic knots. (i’m fully italian trust)
