This is the closest McDonald’s to my house. I often will drive the extra 15-20 minutes round trip to get food from the more competent McDonald’s that’s the 2nd closest to me. The service is also slow and I get parked regardless of order size 75% of the time.
On this day though, I happened to be right there so I stopped to grab my wife a breakfast sandwich, hash brown, and frozen coke. I was initially pleasantly surprised that I was not parked and they actual had frozen cokes because their machine is almost always on defrost. I then get the frozen coke and realize it is only filled to around the top of the cup, not into the dome lid. I very nicely ask if they would please finish filling it. I hate asking for stuff like this but their prices keep going up and im sick of 1/2 filled fries and drinks. The woman who was dressed as a manager rudely replied to me they are only supposed to fill it to the line, which was below the top of the cup anyway. I then stated you guys keep charging more and giving me less, she said in her most patronizing voice “sorry” and then closed the window and walked away. From what I can see the dome style lids on their frozen drinks cost almost double the flat lids. If you are only supposed to be filing to the line, why do you think your company pays for dome lids? Even if that’s just to count for expansion, which doesn’t really make sense, because again she pointed to a line about 1/2 an inch below the top of the lid. Why do you think the dome lids come with the giant opening on top. The one that’s just big enough to fit the nozzle from your machine? They order and pay for the more expensive dome lids to give their customers a full frozen drink. I hope that 1.5 inches of frozen coke was worth losing a family of 4 as your customers because her rudeness was the final straw for me.

Not wanting to waste food. I ate it anyway and then went back in the drive-thru line to order the sandwich again. But they make people pull around and wait so the timer stays low. Corporate's goal is to have the order placed, customer cashed out and food handed out under a certain time. They make people pull around to beat the timer to look good for corporate.I used to work for a McDonald's years ago. I know the system. Wrights Corners location is Absolutely awful. Everyone I go. I have to pull around and wait 8 minutes for my food. They are so worried about their timer for corporation purpose. They are cheating the system because their food doesn't come out quickly.
