Leon's Italian Bistro & Pizza — Restaurant in Town of Niagara

Let me start out by saying I've never actually sat down and ordered in this place, I've only ever had takeout, and I've never tried their pizza or wings. That being said on this occasion I ordered for my family of six, and we were left not only full and satisfied but blown away! I've never been more excited to write a review.

First, I decided to be adventurous and ordered the Wild Mushroom Ravioli. It comes with about four to five Ravioli's, a small dinner salad (I opted out considering I ordered my own), and a small dinner roll - Not sure if the roll was meant to be hot, but it wasn't. I'm not a red sauce fan so I enjoyed the fact they came in a cream sauce. The sauce wasn't thick where you feel gross after a couple bites, but it wasn't runny either. Had so much flavor, I almost didn't want to share.

Next, I ordered two (2) Steak & Cheese subs. This was my mistake and got "everything" on them, not realizing it meant they put mayo & oil. My family and I aren't mayo fans so it took away flavor of the rest of the sub. But I'm sure we would have loved them had I not ordered it like that. Lesson learned.

I also ordered the Banana Stuffed Peppers, on the phone I asked how many you get and she noted you get "three to four depending on the size" , we ended up getting three. They weren't huge but a good size. Very rich, they also ended up having a cream sauce over top, stuffed with cheese. I ended up saving them for the next day, and they were equally as amazing as they would have been on the day prior.

Lastly, I ordered two (2) Grilled Greek Chicken Salads. This is mainly my go to when I order from Leons, very filling and it always hits the spot. This time I made sure to order extra dressing. The size they give you is a really good portion, I'm just one of those people who need extra on the side.. and it sits well in the fridge for up to a week. The dressing on the Grilled Chicken is really good, very juicy. The only down side is that I ordered double feta since they always fall short on that, and I didn't get double... but payed for it.

We were traveling through Niagra to get to Maine. Niagra Falls area was so jam packed that we didn't want to eat there. We Googled and luckily stumbled upon this local gem. A family run business (love supporting small and local), we instantly fell in love. The inside is quaint and homey. We were greeted by super friendly staff. We ordered and our food came quickly. Our family is from Chicago so we are particular about our pizza. Their New York style pizza did not disappoint! I also a had huge caesar salad which had super fresh romaine, delicious croutons and HOMEMADE DRESSING!! Back to the pizza-the sauce is so tasty and their was plenty of cheese. It was just damn good! Our server was attentive but not pushy and the owner came out, asked how our food was and helped us check out. We ended up chatting with the owner and staff for about 15 minutes. I have ordered from this place several times today was the final straw. Ive given them numerous chances without complaining but I’ve had enough. Im not sure if it’s the lady on the phone taking orders or the people in the kitchen but my order is always wrong. I ordered back to back days on purpose the same exact order and of course both orders were not only wrong but different each time. If I ask for half cheese half pepperoni Sicilian style and you say you can do that DO IT, instead we get a whole pepperoni pizza. I order a side cup of blue cheese you say “okay”… I get the food no side cup of cheese and not on the receipt… so you said “okay” for what? I ordered a chicken finger sub no cheese on it what so ever wasn’t even asked about it on the phone I guess I was stupid for assuming they’d put it on there since they didn’t ask. As I said not the first time any of this has happened the foods still good regardless I’m just sick and tired of my order...
