Was in the neighborhood and figured since I was near the shore to have lunch at a place with ambience. Butler's Flat Clam Shack was ambience along with good food. Fortunately, there wasn't too long of a line when I got there though ordering took a bit long as there is just one person at the window taking orders. Upon initial inspection, the lobster roll looked really small for the price but it was absolutely delicious and actually pretty filling. My kids got grilled cheese and the kids burger which they were fine with. The clam chowder was good, nothing to write home about yet we finished it. Nothing beats eating fresh seafood with a water view and the staff were all kind and attentive. I saw one asking a couple of women who had finished their lunch and were just chatting to politely let someone else have the table which made sense since there were people literally standing around with trays of food and nowhere to sit. This tells you how good the food is. I will definitely be back to try something else...
Read moreWe live in Brooklyn now but I grew up out on the Island and we used to dock our boat at the Capri. I remembered it as a beautiful spot. On a friend's tip, decided to trip out on a beautiful afternoon to Butler's. A wonderful experience. Virtually no wait and no hassle, very rare for a gorgeous waterfront setting with spectacular sunsets. Totally fair prices and legit first rate Down East seafood, New England Style. Got some beers and rose (Naragansett and Bridge Lane Rose), Stuffed Quahogs, Lobster Rolls (come with North Fork chips and slaw) and awesome ice cream sandwiches, locally made. Hands down the current contender for best lobster roll in the Tri-State area; huge chunks of tail and knuckle meat lightly dressed on a pitch perfect toasted open top potato bun, priced appropriately and fairly at $24. On a beautiful afternoon, the experience of casual waterfront eats in this gorgeous setting can...

When we got to restaurant it was 96 degrees F and there was a little breeze. The worker , i dont know her name, told us we cannot open the umbrella bec there was a little wind. To be honest the breeze was like nothing . We had to leave bec who would want to eat with sun directly on your face at 96 F without some form of shade. Of course we were all very disappointed!! Staff who did not even greet us. They were not friendly at all! They were more worried about the umbrella then to please their customers!!!!! Fyi We went to Lamotta’s after that and guess what , the umbrellas are up with the same wind! People were very welcoming and friendly and they had the same beautiful view and outdoor dinning and...
