**Update:** In response to the owner's reply: I'm disappointed by the unprofessional and harsh response. My intention was constructive feedback to enhance customer experience. While I appreciate the clarification that it's a takeout restaurant with plastic utensils, this wasn't communicated clearly during my visit. Given the owner’s response, I'm lowering my review from a 2 to a 1. Respectful communication with customers is crucial for any business. I had high hopes for Kabul Kabab House based on reviews, but my experience was disappointing. Seating was quick, but that’s where positives ended. Utensils were all plastic, and we were given paper plates, which felt unsuitable considering our $100+ family meal. Eating from flimsy plates made the experience difficult, with food falling off. When I asked, the waiter had no explanation. Maybe they were busy, but it doesn’t justify poor presentation. Others seemed unbothered, but it ruined our family's experience. I've had better Afghani food with proper utensils for less. Saving money or being eco-friendly shouldn't compromise dining quality. I ordered Combo 2—chicken kebab, Jojeh kebab, and kofta kebab—but they were out of kofta. I substituted lamb but received lamb chops and was overcharged ($27 instead of $15). Kebabs were juicy, sauces exceptional, but Jojeh was hard to eat with bone, and lamb too charred. Main concern remains paper plates. If they serve dine-in, regular plates are a must. Quick service and polite staff were positives. However, cutlery issues and order mix-up overshadowed. Potential, but needs improvement. Food had highlights, but overall experience fell short due to utensils. Addressing these could significantly enhance dining here.

Ordered takeout from this spot. Once you walk in you can see the people cooking your food. I saw the skewers on the grill being made for the customers. So this location is in the part of Westbury where in the most part you have to park on the street which may have parking meter or there is a parking lot behind which depending the time you might have to pay. Now let's get into the food. I ended up ordering 4 Veggie Sambosas & Chicken Kabab with Brown Rice. The Veggies Sambosas were fluffy and were complimented well with the Chatni it comes with. Now the Chatni, although refreshing, does pack a kick. The Chicken Kebab was juicy and tender and I could tell they had just made it. The color might seem intimidating and make you think it's over seasoned but in reality it has just the right amount. Now the rice is not your ordinary plain rice. This rice carries itself. It has a mix of spices in which I cannot tell you what they are because my pallet is not that talented. The entree comes with onions as well that don't carry that strong onion flavor taste that lingers in your mouth afterwards. It also comes with pita bread and this white sauce. And let me tell you this small addition just elevates the entree. Since the rice is heavily seasoned the sauce helps tame it. What I liked doing was putting rice, chicken, onions and the sauces on the pita, rolling it up and eating it. As far as the price goes, I would say it does rank in the pricier side. But we are getting quality food and good portion.

This was an unusual dining experience... When we entered, we saw signs that said there is no table service and you must order at the counter. So we did, and we took a seat at one of the open tables. Then one of the servers started going back and forth to the back of the restaurant to bring out paper plates and plastic utensils. Then he started bringing out take out containers of salads and appetizers. We got one of the eggplant appetizers and it was just okay but it really lacked in eggplant flavor, it was mostly tomato and onion like in my opinion. The naan they provide tasted stale and also took away from the eggplant dip. The entrees came out next in a MASSIVE take out tray with a serving spoon. The bone in chicken was actually very good. It was juicy and seasoned very well, highlight of the meal. The lamb tikka on the other hand, was dry beyond belief. It was also really tough, it felt like biting into a brick. The portions were generous and the price was reasonable.

They have the worst customer service ever! I wish I could give them a -100. My sister ordered food from here and told them to have it ready in 2 hours. I called after 10 mins to cancel it because I couldn’t go pick it up. When I called, the guy or manager over there literally started screaming at me. He was so pissed and angry. I told him to calm down and don’t talk to me like that and he was like, people always order and cancel. I told him that its not like he made the food already but still he was so obnoxious. I was like whatever, maybe he was just having a bad day and I probably stepped on his last nerve (which still doesn’t give him the right to speak to me like that). Then yesterday, we were a party of 12 (6 adults, 6 kids). My husband went in to ask if they have a table. He got all excited and said yeah yeah come in. We were all waiting in the car. My husband came and said they have room so let’s go in. We all got out and walked inside in the cold weather. When we walked inside, he saw the kids and literally gave our table to another party that walked in after! My husband was outside trying to find parking and I called him that they dont have any room. He came inside and asked the manager and he was like you have to wait in such a rude manner. Why would we go inside if there was no table available?! My husband got so angry and asked him why the hell he told him that a table was available then. The manager says do you see any empty tables with so much arrogance. He gave our table away just cause of kids! So pathetic and ridiculous. We just left. They have the worst service there and have no respect for the customers. Will never ever go...

STAY AWAY. Absolutely disgusted by this place and our appetites were all ruined.

Got to the place and were seated. Random waiter takes order couple times and never writes it down. After 30 minutes our food arrives and one of the order is not in it, meaning one person in our party of 5 is sitting without food.

That's right, one person is sitting with no food. The rest of us had no choice but to start eating and share so the food would get cold, and eventually his order arrived after 20 minutes.

We had ordered 5 sodas, NOT ONE was brought to us. Water was not given adequately and we had to remind them twice to finally bring our drinks.

Waiters did not make rounds to ask if we needed anything etc.

The green sauce was basically all water with green color. No taste and obviously made to save materials.

And most disgustingly of all, a piece of plastic clear wrap, the one you cover food with, was found COOKED IN my rice which I was respectful about and didn't mention to them. The plastic was cooked INSIDE with the rice. Disgusting.

Before leaving, a person in my party used the restroom and while inside, somebody was able to open the door from the outside. That's right, the lock was not working. What a surprise.

Others experience might have been better and we just got lousy waiters and cooks who accidently cooked plastic in the rice, but that is all still deserving of a 1 star review.

Would not go back. Their Queens location was better but cash only.

I feel bad having to wrote this negative review but that place needs a serious overhaul in the cooks, waiters and...
