I went on a Friday night with my boyfriend one day and yes there was about a 30 minute wait when we arrived around 7pm because the place was packed! It was a little awkward waiting in the middle of everyone seated & eating (there’s no waiting area/chairs) but we finally got a table. We ordered some drinks which were good & then some food, which was tasty! The plates were very big and we couldn’t finish them on our own. I also really enjoyed their chips and salsa, it was on the spicy side (not too much). My only complaint is that the guacamole flavor was bland and lacked taste. The whole time the restaurant was busy busy, the staff was attentive but a little slow due to so many people. When I made a mistake on ordering a drink, they resolved this issue. I enjoyed coming here as a first time & would tell others to try it if they’re in the area. It is a small restaurant and has street parking. It is loud so if you have problems with noise then try eating here at earlier hours to...
Read moreWent here on a Friday night. Parked on the street in front since metered parking was free at the time. I love enchiladas in green sauce (enchiladas suiza) and usually order those when I go to a Mexican restaurant. The chicken was good but I didn't really like the sauce on these. Other places mix the cream into the sauce but these had a dollop of sour cream on top. The beans were good and the rice had some hard bits. My wife had the chicken burrito and my son had a combo platter which he said was ok. My wife had a margarita and said it was ok. The best part of the meal was the fried ice cream. Very yummy. Service was good and easy to flag down a waitress since the place is pretty small. I would probably not return as there are multiple Mexican restaurants to try on Long Island. Like other smaller restaurants I've noticed lately, they charge extra for using a...
Read moreWe LOVE this place! Best authentic Mexican food anywhere. My friends had the combination plate: taco, enchilada & burrito. My wife had her favorite: the steak and chorizo Huaracha. I had the steak fajitas. They cooked it just to my liking....heavy on the onions, easy on the peppers. My friends also shared a pitcher of margaritas, which they said was delicious. My only disappointment was that they no longer had the pozole. It was a homemade pork soup with hominy. I know it was a long process to make, and maybe they didn't sell enough of it, so they took it off the menu. Other than that little hiccup, all our food was delicious. We'll be going there next month to see a show at The Space and we'll definitely eat at...
