Hate to bash a fellow greek place but come on guys, its not even greek. I was in the neighborhood today and didn’t want to drive back to queens so thought to give it a try. Had the pork gyro, that was a pork chop over lettuce, what are we doing here. Either serve a gyro how its supposed to be served or don’t call it a greek restaurant if you are just experimenting. I don’t want to bash this place with a one star so I won’t but hopefully the owners stop thinking like “oh they won’t even know the difference unless they are greek” very very poor execution. I literally have to put this as the worst gyro i ever had(even though its its own category, it shouldn’t even be called a greek gyro) I proceed to read the other reviews and no wonder it has so many negative reviews, owners clearly dont care when i see reviews from a year ago and today it looks like the quality is even worse. If you don’t want to run a restaurant properly open another business,...
Read morePlease let me explain myself... I only gave four-stars for service; but that is NOT the fault of the restaurant-- i place an order via a QR Code, which then took me to this online 'place' called "ChowNow". And although I have some reservations about their validity (Sorry Guys! You annoyed me but that's a story for another time!) This food at The Greek Place is worth every rave review they receive.
Let's start with the Lemon Oreganata chicken wings... Delicious! The Chicken Lemon Drop Soup 'aka' Avgolemono-- Delicious! A coworker decided on the Rice Bowl with Lamb Gyro-- a MASSIVE portion which she stated was "Delicious!" and yet another ordered The Chicken Santorini Plater... Delicious!!! Or should I state: ypérochos!!!
We were BEYOND famished when our order was delivered. But let's just say: it was sooooooooo worth it! Thank you or should I say: efcharistó❤
2.21.25: Had the rice bowl with crispy eggplant today… Lip smacking...

I got the spanakopita (spinach pie) and a large Greek salad with chicken. I have had a few spinach pies at other places recently and have not found one that has that perfect spinach to feta ratio. They nailed it! So delicious! And the tzatziki sauce was the perfect addition. It had all the right stuff in it! (Some places just give you a yogurt sauce, but this place had the cucumbers in it) the salad was as fresh as could be and had PLENTY of veggies and feta. It even had stuffed grape leaves, which isn’t always included at other places. The chicken was juicy and delicious! My boyfriend got a lamb gyro and it was loaded with meat! He said it was amazing and also enjoyed the chicken skewer, which was also a very generous portion. The food was ready right away and the staff was friendly! Would...
