Yummy Gyro - Williston Park — Restaurant in Town of North Hempstead

I first had their food a couple weeks. One of my staff members bought for the office I was very pleased. So my wife and i actually traveled 20 min each way to pick up our food tonight.

To say the food had some issues, I felt my sandwich could have used more meat but no big deal. My wife sandwich the chicken was chewy the veins were still in. Plus we ordered an app and it was missing. I called just to get a simple credit for the app. Instead of just crediting the missing item he told me he didn't charge me for that and gave me extra dressing on the side and another item we didn't ask for . I mentioned about the chicken he blamed the cooks and they should have removed it.So basically he wanted to give me a 1.25 back. Really because we asked the appetizer, you missed it. I was not pleased at all how he handled it. He could have simple credited one sandwich and apologize. But he went back and forth with me and no appropriate resolution was done. I used to love the food from here but recently there has been an obvious change in employment and maybe management as well that has been beyond disappointing. The young girl who works the register and phone has no clue what she is doing and didn’t even know my price when I asked over the phone, she actually said “I don’t know” when I asked which is beyond unprofessional. When I arrived thirty minutes later to pick up my simple two item order it was not ready and my Pita was burnt. Even if she was a new employee it was inconsiderate to have someone who has no idea what they are doing at the head of the store. The employees who used to work there were much kinder and knew what they were doing. If there is a new manager they are doing a horrible job at keeping the store clean and calm and failed to hire capable employees. I will no longer be purchasing...

Quick review. Had a hankering for a good old gyro. Ordered a pair of the beef/lamb gyro on whole wheat pita-one without tomatoes. No problem. Got there and food was ready on time. The guy at the front was quick but friendly. Picked up a baklava just because it looked good in the case. And it was sweet and flaky. The gyros were wrapped nicely and clearly labeled. The gyro was constructed very well. I say this because often you find that you eat your way to the end and there’s no meat left. But no, plenty of meat throughout and all the way to the end. Classic flavors of the savory meat, fresh veg, tangy tzatziki sauce with the bright taste of the feta cheese.
