Cappelli's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Town of Orchard Park

A year ago my husband and I moved to Orchard Park and ordered our first Cappelli’s Pizza. It was wonderful; also convenient since we live less than two miles away. We had a year of great pizza until tonight. Tonight, we ordered a small pepperoni pizza and cheesey bread at 7:35pm for delivery. We were estimated 45-60 minutes including delivery. At 8:45 (70 minutes) I called to inquire on the whereabouts of the order. I was told it was out for delivery with several other orders and would arrive within 15 minutes. At 9:11pm the delivery was brought to my door. Immediately opening it, the food was completely cold. I called the restaurant to figure out what happened—listened to the hold tone mention that deliveries were always hot—then someone picked up. The man snarled yes after I asked if it was a manager. He gave two options: 10% off the food or new food being sent out. Waiting potentially another hour or more for food seemed as ridiculous as 10% off the cold food I already had. I refused the additional food to be redelivered and then was quickly hung up on. Ordered a chicken finger sub at 9pm. Only thing "odd" about my order was I asked for light lettuce. Worker on phone was short, telling me "just so I know they close at 9:30pm and I better be there before then.". I arrived at 9:15pm to a group of 5-6 workers obnoxiously loud watching videos on a cell phone right at the front counter. They continued watching videos as I paid for the sub and left. Arrived home at 9:25 to find they only put chicken fingers and bleu cheese on the sub. I called the location several times between 9:25-9:35 p.m. to only get an answering machine that will not accept messages. Wouldn't be such a big deal if they were super busy and it was an oversight, but when you have your workers hanging out watching videos on their cell phones and food is being made improperly, then you have a management issue.

Note: after speaking with the morning manager, owner contacted me. Graciously apologized for the actions of his employees. Said he is mailing me $10 credit. Offered to drive it out and...

Update: went back later and placed an order for single Mild Wings and a slice of cheese & pepperoni pizza to go. Lately, I couldn't find a good pizzeria that had outstanding wings around the south towns that was close to me. Glad I ordered the wings because this has become my go to place if I ever want pizza and wings. The wings weren't over cooked, juicy and had a hint of vinegar. I prefer vinegar over buttery texture.

The pepperoni & cheese pizza was just as good as the cheese one.

My only regret is that I should had tried them sooner.

1pm 1-4-2020: Owner and employees nice, friendly and down to earth. They are also very attentive to there customers. I was a walk in and placed my order, personal pizza, to go. The wait wasnt long.
