Taj of Orchard Park — Local services in Town of Orchard Park

Was excited to try this place out as I'm newer to the area. I made a small lunch order for two through UberEats - 2 entries and some appetizers.

The UberEats delivery was on point - on time with great updates and a perfectly executed dropoff as requested.

The order completeness and food quality were unfortunately both subpar. I ordered a chicken curry and did not receive rice with my order. While not a huge financial loss, not having the rice of the curry delivered with the food is a bit of a problem for having lunch on time. The overall flavor quality was lacking compared to our recent orders from India Gate in Buffalo.

While mistakes with order packing absolutely do happen and are completely understandable, what was really frustrating to me was how everything was handled after my order was delivered by a 3rd party incomplete.

I called Taj to straighten it out, and instead of having a constructive conversation with a resolution, I was talked over and talked around the whole time. To me, this is a much bigger problem than missing an item or two in an order.

I offered to drive over myself to better communicate since the phone was clearly not an effective medium for communication. After driving over, I received more of the same ineffective communicate style, insistence that the order was packed to completion and that our UberEats driver must have selected a box of plain rice as the item to siphon off instead of any of the other way more appealing items (absurd), and that I could put in a complaint with UberEats.

This whole experience was beyond frustrating, and I am extremely disappointed that a neighborhood restaurant was so atrocious to deal with. I was looking forward to ordering from there regularly, but will obviously not be doing business here after...

Our family went there last night on a whim. Not usually in this area. Absolutely loved it!!!! We got butter chicken, curry goat, lamb marantha, and paneer curry, samosas, three different naans and lassis…. It was so good!!! You wouldn’t expect this from what looks like a convenient store, but after seeing the reviews, we had to try it and it did not disappoint. We did dine in at their little table section. They were even extremely nice about turning up the heat because it was chilly in there. We got our food in reusable take out containers and it was already to take home when we were finished. They provided us with two kinds of chutney, foil for leftover naan and a bag to carry We are absolutely coming back for more. What more could you want? If you are looking for a place to play the NY lotto, top-up your windshield washer fluid AND have some bomb a$$ Indian food, look no further! Went with a party of four, all of whom are moderate complainers and everyone was thrilled!

If you're looking for a fancy place to propose, maybe pick a somewhere with a different ambiance- Actually, scratch that. Everyone does the fancy restaurant thing. Make a lifetime commitment here!*
