DD's Diner — Restaurant in Town of Ossining

Awful waitress service!! I have been to DD's a few times before and the food has been fine as well as prior service but after today I will stick to Landmark, hell I rather take the longer drive to the Pleasantville Diner or even the Mt.Kisco Diner than here. I requested sauce on the side of my sandwich and no cheese or mushrooms. She brought me a burger with mushrooms and later returned to our table to give my father a cheese burger he didn't even order, and when I brought the mushrooms up to the waitress, she said that I didn't request to remove it, yet everyone at my table clearly remembered what I said. She then proceeded to tell me that the cheese burger was actually my sandwich and I told her that I asked for no cheese as well. At this point I asked for a new burger since the taste of the mushrooms was everywhere and she came back in two minutes with what Im assuming was the same burger with the mushrooms scrapped off since by now it was as cold as the sandwich I had just sent back. I didn't end up eating the burger as me accidentally eating the mushrooms earlier and it being cold by then made me lose my appetite. When she returned to see it uneaten she asked 'Whats wrong now?'. I understand we all have rough days at our jobs and might feel unorganized, especially in a restaurant environment since I have worked in it before, we did not come in during a busy time, and if she was nice and apologized about this whole back and forth thing I would be returning, however her demeanor was just a cold pay and get out feeling especially when she gave...

Love the place!!! Food is good. Staff are wonderful with the exception of 2. I dine in frequent with family and alone and I've noticed that the service always is below standard when this particular person (Paola) serves me or my party. Now I've observed this person avoid serving me, has walked around doing absolutely nothing other then gosping with her fellow mate and when another person calls her attention to service me then she approaches with sarcasm. Now I thought maybe she is having a bad day...who knows? But then on my other visits she does the same. Now today I went and ordered my usual and she gave me eye contact and continued on gossiping with her fellow mate about my hair do... yup my hair do nothing out this world but different from my usual. I can hear her and her fellow mate from where I am sitting and still doesn't approach me for my order. After siting for 15 minutes no one has came I asked someone if they can take my order. She was told hey you have someone waiting.....then she approached. Disappeared the entire time I was there to the point I finished and walked up to pay without a bill since she was no where to be seen. As I am waiting in line to pay she hands me the bill with a smirk. I would like for her peers to really consider the type of service this person is providing and how distasteful it is and address this with her and her fellow mate. Lastly...

I normally do Not write reviews but was compelled to do so with my recent experience. I am a regular at your diner where the waiters know me by name. I went with my sister to get my usual breakfast like I normally do and asked to have my homefries be well done on both sides, to my amazement I was told that the cook said he will not do it. I could not believe that the simple task of flipping the homefries over one more time was such a big deal and I also could not believe that the manager (who everyone assumes is there to interviene and help) who went to talk to the cook came back and said there's nothing she could do. I don't Understand how a cook could dictate the rules of the restaurant. I guess the 40 bucks I leave there all the time, was not worth his time to flip the home fries over. You lost a Dedicated customer who was always referring people and bringing family to your restaurant. My granddaughter will miss our trips after school for Burger than fries which we will not do anymore. I found a nice Alternate Scarduzio Deli & Catering. It's sad because I felt at home when going to your restaurant and could not believe the audacity of the cook to make these decisions.
