I recently had a very disappointing experience with The Gladys Restaurant in Ossining, New York. We called to order three Lomo Saltado dishes for delivery, totaling $60. After waiting about an hour without receiving our food, we called to check on the status. The restaurant informed us that they had our order listed as pickup, even though we had clearly requested delivery and provided our address.
When we explained this, they said they could deliver the food but that it would take an additional 20-30 minutes. Since the food had already been sitting for an hour, we expressed our concern about paying $60 for what would likely arrive cold and hoped they might remake it or reheat it given the error. Unfortunately, the staff member was unhelpful and dismissive, saying, "Well, someone has to pay for your food, it’s $60."
This rude and unapologetic response was very disheartening, especially as this wasn’t our first negative customer service experience with them, so we decided to cancel the order. The staff then informed us that if we ordered again, we’d need to pay in advance. With the lack of accountability and poor attitude, we’ve decided to give our business to Aji Limon instead. Read moreMy family usually gets good from this place every Friday and despite that more often than not their tres leches is expired and they still send it with our order, we were loyal customers up until today. One of my family members called to place an order like any other day and was kind to the woman who answered the phone at the Ossining location. Upon informing the lady that they owed us a tres leches from the last time they sent a spoiled one ( the manager in charge said they would send it next time we ordered) the woman on the phone became very aggressive and rude for ABSOLUTELY no reason. She had no manners and incredibly poor customer service. It’s Safe to say we will not be ordering food here again and we will be making sure to let our friends and family know not to order from here either.
