From outside it doesn't look like much, just another eatery in a strip mall. But when you enter the restaurant side (there is a 2nd entrance for take-out orders) you encounter a cozy environment with a fully stocked bar and attentive service. My wife and I had to sit at the bar since the few open tables were reserved, which hints to the popularity of Brothers to those in the know.
Regardless, we were comfortable and well served, starting with a glass of Cabernet for my wife and a very good bottle of Abita pale ale for me. We then had the Shrimp al Aji for the appetizer which comprises of fresh wild shrimp seared with local garlic and white wine. Delicious!
For the main I had Don Pulpo which is grilled octopus served over smoked potatoes and 3 different saffron sauces. I enjoyed it and have always loved grilled octopus. However, this could have used a bit more flavor. Still, try it as you may like it.
My wife had the Fish & Chips and OMG, this was honestly the best fried fish I have EVER had. And as a southern transplant from Louisiana I have had plenty of fried fish over the years. This was light and flaky beer-battered, wild-caught cod fried and served with hand-cut french fries, coleslaw, and homemade tartar. We also had the choice of wild bass but classic cod is the way to go.
Finally, for dessert we had the homemade flan, which was a traditional egg flan and very tasty. Then, the waiter surprised us with a complimentary dish of their homemade ice cream, infused with apple wood smoke which they apply right in front of you. This was truly amazing and the apple smokiness added to the already delicious flavor of the homemade ice cream. What a treat!
So try Brothers and I'm sure you won't be disappointed. We're returning tomorrow evening for dinner...

I took my mom to Brothers Fish and Chips for Motherâs Day dinner, and it was absolute perfection from start to finish. We chose the Brotherâs 6-course tasting menu and were blown away by every detail.
We started with a glass of cava, and from there, each course was a stunning journeyâfresh oysters, mouth watering baccalĂ , crudo in a delicious cilantro olive oil, perfectly grilled langostinos, tender octopus on a crisp tostada, and beautifully cooked tuna, and delicious black bass over squid ink rice. The desserts were just as memorable, followed by the smoothest pour-over coffee.
Jackie was our server, and she made the entire experience even more special. She was warm, attentive, and genuinely lovely. The restaurant itself is small, intimate, and tastefully decorated with simple elegance. The chef personally came out to present each course, offering thoughtful explanations and adding a personal touch that elevated the evening.
Despite being located in a strip mall, donât be fooledâthis place is a hidden gem. Every moment, every bite, every aroma was unforgettable. Huge thanks to Jackie and the chef for making it such a magical night. We will...
Read moreWhat a great little restaurant! The restaurant is attached to the take away place. Which I've heard is a great way to get your delicious food to take home.
We ate in the restaurant itself. Very nice atmosphere, wonderful service, thank you Elmer... And very good seafood.
I had one of the specials which was the lobster roll. Great bread, delicious lobster and a lot of it! In my opinion the lobster was a bit overdone, but it still tasted great. My husband got another special, the whole Bronzino fish. Which was cooked to perfection. It's not easy to do a whole fish and not over cook it. My friend got the lobster risotto, which she's had many times before. She lives in the area this was our first time there. It was her birthday and they brought out 2 desserts with a candle and sang to her.
Overall this was a great night thanks to the wonderful food, nice atmosphere and a very sweet man named Elmer. He made our night very special.
I definitely recommend Brothers Fish & Chips. Don't let the name fool you, it is not just a take away for fish and...
