I came here for a beer tasting class with an invite from a friend. It was my first time at this establishment. Upon entering, it's a very nice place to be inside. It's clean, airy, new, and a very casual environment. I don't know what to call this. It's like a tap room with wine and beer and a package store where you can purchase these products also to take home. It's a great place to kick back, especially if you live in the neighborhood and have a beer or two. But I was here for the class and for the cost of the class which was roughly $30 it's a great deal It's approximately a 2 hour class that covers a particular style of beer and numerous samples fron different breweries. I was more than satisfied with the number of samples that we went through. It's a communal table, and everybody gets along and enjoys themselves. I believe it's on the first Thursday of the month. The person who gave the class his name is Rory if my memory serves me right and he did a great job. It was an enjoyable evening and I hope to come back again for it. The beer store is interesting, to say the least. There are many brews here. But most of them, you've probably never run across at your local beverage store. Come here if you want to try some new variations on styles and small release beers. Note that you can buy the beers that you might have at...
Read morei love coming here for beer and i always love the different selections ranging from sours to stouts and that there is something for everyone. i also love the vibe as its a good balance between lively and chill and the employees are so nice
now for the coffee - i really do love the pastries, it’s a cute and cozy place and the baristas are nice but the coffee is so inconsistent. my go to is a cortado and i had it made in so many different ways the past few months (too much milk, perfect ratio, foam at the top, etc). it got to the point that depending on the barista that i see working that day, i know what kind of quality drink i’ll be getting that day, which should not be the case as the drinks being served should be somewhat uniformed and similar regardless of the barista. overall it’s good but for more consistency/ accuracy i’d recommend going to other local coffee shops/roasters in the GC/SC/LV area. would def consider upping this to 5 stars if the quality of coffee/drinks that were crafted were improved...
Read moreI come here often to study in the coffeeshop upstairs and recently came to have a drink with a friend. I was told that even though I am 23 years old, they do not serve alcohol to customers from out-of-state that are under 25, which is already ridiculous. What was even more ridiculous, though, is that when my friend—who is the same age as me but has a NY driver’s license—bought me a drink and gave it to me, we were kicked out of the establishment. (I was not informed that I could not consume an alcoholic beverage within the establishment, only that I cannot purchase one.) The bartender was extremely rude and appears to have a superiority complex surrounding picking on young women. This is a shame because I frequent this place quite often and really enjoyed studying here, but I do not want to give any more business to an establishment that has such blatant disrespect for its...
