It’s so hard to find dog friendly places for big doggies, we are not gatekeeping this summer! Share your dog friendly spots in NY 🙃 #dogvideos #redbonecoonhound #dogfriendlytravel #dogfriendlyplaces #dogfriendlyplaceslongisland #dogbeach

There is a lot of construction going on right next to this very small beach so there is lots of debris and some trash nearby, but it keeps it secluded from a big crowd. The area is not enclosed at all and can lead right into construction, so keep that in mind if you choose to off-leash your dog. Overall, it’s a quiet place for your dogs to cool off and burn some energy, just watch out for trash and the horseshoe crab graveyard as you get closer the opposite end of the beach.

Beautiful view of sunset. Even the reflection on the houses along the hill is phenomenal. Worth watching. There is a ledge for boats but one can walk over to get a good view. Water is not smelly as it constantly moving from the Atlantic Ocean. Recommend you to be careful as you get to the view points. On a June summer evening, between 7.30 and 8.00pm is a good viewing time.

I’m not sure if people are reviewing the private beach, which from across the bay appears to have plenty of sand, but the public beach is all rocks, trash, and shards of glass. There is a public restroom and plenty of parking. There was a woman walking her dog in the park area, a local, and I asked to confirm, if this was the dog beach (pointing toward the rocks, trash, and shards of glass). And she was like, “it says there’s a dog beach here? I mean, I guess no one’s gonna ticket you for having your dog off leash over there…there’s no one else around to complain.” Between her and I this should count for 2 reviews to knock that rating down. We drove specifically there from the city based on these reviews and it would’ve been better if we drove to...
