Jen's Chinese Food & Catering — Restaurant in Town of Oyster Bay

Been a while since I have been in this place since I don't work over there anymore but I love the food there it's clean and inviting Jen is a nice person very friendly understanding caring helpful food is very good large portions that I have food for a few days always hot and made the way you ask for it I don't know if this place would deliver to me were I live now being the distance I still love this place and the people and the food now I just called with in the last two weeks and I was treated very rude and I also was hung up on the phone I was told that I was speaking to a manager and I was hung up on by him for asking for information and I called back and I was lied to by another person who said that the manager was not there and my call back was was under a minute Jen would have not ever done that to me or anyone else that is why she has a great business she was so very caring about her customers she was warm and friendly understanding great listening to her customers concerns conference and suggestions I was told she has other businesses the towns there's a Chinese restaurant and I asked for information and they refuse to give it to me years ago I bought Chinese food from her restaurant and I dropped very hot soup on my lap that was delivered to me and I had second and third degree burns on my lap and she was so loving and caring and understanding about it that she treated me like a princess for that point on I only stopped going there because I stopped working and I moved to far away from the restaurant now I would never ever go back there because of the way I was talked to and treated on the phone I have told all the people I know what happened to me in my last phone call to this place and all my friends standing by me to never ever go...

We have been coming here regularly for years. Mostly take out, but very comfortable, inviting tables and booths if you want to stay. The food is great, and the service is excellent. They give generous portions, and great value, and are very accommodating. I personally love the peanut oil taste of the egg rolls. The soup is delicious. I love the tea, which is free, and always great. They are very organized, and efficient, and know what customers want. We usually get the sesame chicken, chicken and broccoli, and lo mein. Don't listen to those 2 recent bad reviews. I was in the restaurant yesterday with my family when 2 men came in saying they were a marketing company, and showed the owner those 2 reviews. They told her they could help her improve her business with a kiosk in the store that she had to pay for!!! I think they and those reviews are connected and are a scam!! This restaurant does wonderful business. It's like a revolving door! How dare those scammers! We love Jen and her food, and apparently so do many...

Ridiculous! I live in one Wantagh Woods just a few blocks from Jen’s. I have been a regular customer for three years (since moving to the neighborhood) and was treated so rudely by their staff. I placed a order for my family and was told it would be delivered in 30 to 40 minutes. Close to an hour and a half later, I called and they said they are busy and I could come pick it up myself. I told him my children were sleeping and I could not leave the home and they replied “so you cancel the order”. This was after numerous calls and being told “the driver will be there soon”. I understand that they may be very busy and/or short staffed; either way a better solution would’ve been an apology and extending the order at no charge (or at least a partial refund). I hope Jen’s ownership reads this review and makes serious changes on how they handle their mishaps. When these circumstances come up you need to do better and handle your best customers with respect. You lost our business and our other...
