Waitress Ashlee was great!!! Food was TERRIBLE!!!! Food poisoning warning. French onion soup had no flavor and onions were still white and crunchy meaning they weren’t cooked long enough. Italian clams were served with Parmesan. Seafood and cheese don’t go together and my husband said they were slimy, I refused to eat them. The table behind us ordered seafood and I could smelllllllll the fishiness. I mean it was so strong whatever they had was surely dead and left out to rot before being smothered in butter. I had chicken Marsala and got two tiny 3oz chicken breasts, that weren’t seasoned, and shriveled up they’d been cooked so long. Vegetables on the side weren’t cooked properly or seasoned and were extremely watery. The Marsala sauce was the saving grace but it was broken and riddled with butter. My husband had a medium rare steak that came mooing with super white fat and wasn’t even seared. No seasoning on it at all and it was served with “scallops”, there was one, tiny salad shrimp that were probably thawed and thrown on, and shredded crab meat with peppers… why the peppers? It doesn’t go. I picked up the scallop and smelled it. Extremely fishy!!!! I told him not to eat it but he said it’s so expensive he doesn’t want it to go to waste. Fast forward 10:00 at night I’m driving to the nearest store that has pepto because he’s so sick with food poisoning he can’t even think straight. $100 for something I could cook myself and better… no thank you. At least season the food before sending it out! Serve artisan homemade bread not sandwich white bread. It doesn’t take that long after it proofs. Cook the onions in the French onion soup till dark brown but not burnt and SEASON. Don’t serve onions you threw in beef stock and warmed up. Mildly frozen scallops and shredded canned crab meat is not ok especially with tiny salad shrimp. If you say surf n turf you need actual normal shrimp. Definitely wouldn’t go back. If it’s not fried and smothered in salt it’s...
Read moreI honestly do not know how this restaurant has such great reviews. We arrived at this establishment after a hike starving and we're looking forward to our dinner based on the reviews. My friend and I each ordered $36 new York strip steaks and our friends ordered chicken French. After over an hour of waiting for our food my friend bit into her steak and stated that I was inedible. I first ate the smaller side of mine and it was definitely overcooked so I turned the steak around and it was definitely cooked better but the first bite I had to spit out because it was so chewy . And then I try to take another bite and it was just a chewy piece of meat. My friend wouldn't eat it and asked for it to be taken off the bill but I was trying to eat mine because I was starving. But no amount of starvation was going to get me to eat that steak. I had no problem paying for mine because I did take a couple bites and honestly just wanted to get of there. When the waitress was getting our bill ready the manager explained that she evaluated and tasted our steak that we already took bites out of and said there was nothing wrong with it so they're going to take the steaks off the bill but charge us for the takeout amount of the salad bar ($17.99) when we each just had a tiny side of it. I stated to her the steak was very chewy and I think it might be the quality of the meat and she stayed it it was because I had it cooked medium well and that's how she would expect it to come out. She was very rude and I order and cook medium well steaks all the time and love New York strips but I'm not sure what this cut of meat was because it was absolutely disgusting. The waitress was very apologetic and she was trying her best to apologize for everything. I would never go to this establishment again not only for the terrible food but also the terrible management and customer...
Read moreMy family and I came to this restaurant for the rehearsal dinner before mine and my husband's wedding. While the booking process was easygoing, which we appreciated, it turned out to be a very disappointing experience. The room we were placed in was cramped and cold. Although the reservation was for 6:30 we did not receive our food until 9pm. They did have a salad and soup bar, but we weren't told if it was available to us until an hour and half in. There was butter on the table, which suggested there was meant to be bread served, but we never received any. Many of us were unsatisfied by the food's quality, which heightened our disappointment. Our waitress was doing her best to keep drinks coming, and although it was not her fault that she was overwhelmed, we were not communicated with about why there were such long waiting periods. My stepmother asked to speak to the owner, and found her to be unwilling to acknowledge that anything was wrong with how this dinner had gone. We would not have requested for something on our bill to be comped if it hadn't been such a disappointing experience. What we wanted most of all was acknowledgement of our frustrations, especially since this was meant to be a celebratory night. My recommendation to the restaurant is to not book 2 large events (there was a very large group doing trivia and ordering plated meals in the room next to us) if you do not have the staff to properly service both. Also, if they had offered family style rather than plated meals, it would have probably taken pressure off of the kitchen as well.
The only truly positive thing I can say is that our waitress, I think her name was Katie (?) was kind, made our drinks well, and acknowledged our disappointment after the second person in our party complained. Also the Christmas...
