I feel I may have posted this already, but, I am so happy to express that of this year it was one of the BEST dining experiences, and it was on New Year's Eve of all nights! Typically you get a limited menu, and the food is ok.
We had the full dining menu and specials to choose from, and the staff was spectacular. For appetizers, we had the duck meatballs, which were heavenly, not heavy, with just the right amount of an Asian spicy sauce. It was enough to taste the meatballs on their own merit, and the sauce which only enhanced their flavor. It was divine. We also ordered oysters, my favorite, but hard to find great ones in Rochester, since we're not on the coast. These oysters were smaller, but fresher, than I've ever had here, another winner! Of course, they offered the mignoette and lemon, but wow, they stood well without! Again, such a delight for the senses!
I regret I cannot remember the chicken dish my date chose, but he was extremely pleased. I went on the "safe" side and ordered the filet mignon which is a rarity because I love to venture into the wild, but I was craving a good mignon, and ordered it medium rare, and was happy it was more on the rare side. It was phenomenal. And we frequent a great many steakhouses and this was lovely. It came with baby, baby potatoes perfection with roasted asparagus, but I'd rather say they were, blistered. It was an amazing effect, ever so slightly charred and with a tender crunch. I have to say, at restaurants I rarely eat everything on my plate, but that night I did.
We also ordered dessert, and it was great.
Also, the red wine selection by the glass was pretty nice, I had Cabernet Sauvignon and my date Malbec, both delicious.
I heartily recommend this place.
And the Spa too!!! Make it a weekend!!! They are the best Rochester has to offer in a weekend...
Read moreMy first time going here! 12/27/23 9:15AM I came to meet up with a sibling who I haven’t seen in years! What was supposed to be a celebration 🎊 turned out to be a very unpleasant event. I am a former Marriott employee and I made the mistake of assuming that our service would be above & beyond seeing as how this restaurant is at a Marriott property. The food was great! I got the brioche French toast. The waitress was terrible. From the time we arrived to the time we departed Stay away from the red headed, pale skinned, lifeless server. We received no friendliness from her during the entire meal. She did not crack a smile once. We had to ask for water. Her whole attitude came off as she didn’t want to serve us. She was extremely lifeless & put no effort into serving us She came off as just wanting to “get it over with”. We noticed that she perked up a little when she served the table of white people one table down from us. Being a person of color, we notice these things! The other waitress was much nicer and even wisher her table a happy new year. Our server barely told us to have a good day. This experience was absolutely TERRIBLE & I really hope she quits & stops making everyone else miserable with her!! Oh yeah and I don’t know her name cuz she didn’t have a name tag!!
The food was great The seats were small!! Not everyone has small little hips. Very...

From the moment we walked in, the ambiance set the stage for a delightful meal. The decor is tasteful and inviting, offering a serene atmosphere that's a cut above the typical chain restaurant.
The breakfast options were varied and delicious. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared, and the quality was evident in every bite. The service was attentive and friendly, contributing to an overall enjoyable dining experience.
One of the standout features of Erie Grill is the stunning view. Overlooking the serene river, the restaurant offers a picturesque setting that's perfect for a relaxing meal. It's a refreshing change from the generic ambiance of chain eateries.
Overall, Erie Grill delivers exceptional quality and ambiance at a price comparable to IHOP. We would definitely go back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a superior dining experience without breaking the bank. Staff was...
