Domus Fare — Restaurant in Town of Pomfret

Really, really great spot to start dining out in 2021. Found the place while searching for somewhere unfamiliar to try. Google location actually surprised me. Often when going out as a couple you either please your wife or you end up pleased or pleasing yourself. Joke intended. But this time we went in and it was a winner for both of us. They have breakfast, lunch, dinner, deserts, a variety of teas, coffee, soft drinks. The list goes on. We both had cheesecake stuffed french toast with 2 eggs done to order and choice of breakfast meats. I did bacon, she did sausage. The meals came to us super fast. The waitress was on the ball! She would be almost to the table just as one of us were about to wave her over! The food was awesome! It was super affordable too! I ordered a fish dinner to take home for later, both of our breakfast specials and drinks didn't even come to $40 all together!! We were both pretty impressed. I gave her just short or $50 and as she was going to get change we rolled out, the quality of the meals and the attention she put into serving us on a new years lunch she defiantly deserved that tip! My go-to lunch spot. I never have to convince my friends and family to come here with me, there’s something for everyone. My brother gets the garabge plate every time. My husband gets the falafel or gyro wrap. I flip between the harvest sald which has THE BEST GRAPE DRESSING, and the specials menu which is always changing and seasonal. They always have vegan options. I love that the soups change often. The menu is definitely made by someone who loves their job because its delicious and creative. I day dream about the ceaser side salad with little bow tie pasta peices in it. The only negative experiences ive had here have been during college events like fred fest or alumni weekend when the restaurant is ridiculously busy. We got hungry at just the right time, because this was the closest restaurant and it was delicious! Tables were full when we got there, but the wait was minimal and the staff was super friendly. Our service was outstanding and the food was amazing. What really caught my attention was the fruit my kids received. It's a small thing for some, but when we go to the chain restaurants and they order fruit it is less than stellar, here they got a small bowl with a variety of delicious fresh fruit, with a just-cut banana on top! The fact that the time was taken to cut a banana just for my children felt nice. The ordering options are great! I was able to order a smaller breakfast, which suited my appetite.
