I have wanted to come here for a few years, but somehow forgot about it when i was thinking of a place to go, then would remember again after the fact! I went there a few weeks back on a Saturday night - they had music so thought perfect evening! Well the music, the food and the atmosphere did NOT disappoint. The entire staff is so friendly and welcoming. Paula is the epitome of hostesses/owners. It was clear there was a large population there that were repeat customers. She greets everyone at the door or comes to their tables. I love what she has built here...catering to the 'adult crowd' with music starting at 6:30 and restaurant closing at 10. Being in my 50's, going to a place where music starts at 9 or later and the crowd in their 20's coming in at 11 is no longer my 'scene'. This is a place I can enjoy a good meal, listen to great music and have some drinks. We had such a good time, we returned a week later, where we were greeted with a 'so your back' from Paula. You just don't often find this type of atmosphere or clear appreciation of their customers as you find at Paula's. I...
Read moreI gave it 1 star because there is no option for zero stars. My wife and I stopped in at five o’clock for our first time there. All during our dinner the band was setting up. When we finished dinner, I asked our waitress if it would be ok if we stayed for a while to listen to the band. She said ok, but shortly after the owner came by to let us know that unless we were having another dinner we would have to give up our table (we were at a table for two). I immediately started gathering up my stuff snd got up to leave. The only other seating were two large tables and they were marked reserved and no room at the bar. So in order to listen to the band we would have to stand up after spending over $100.00. I will starve before I ever step foot in that place again. And I will tell everyone I know of the absolutely lousy...
Read moreNice atmosphere. I didn't have any food while I was there so I can treat the food although I did see a hamburger ordered by someone at my table that looked amazing. I did sample the french fries and they really were not to my liking but my friend seem to enjoy them. I thought they needed a little more crunch. Paula's had a band playing the night I went they played older music calling themselves the Moondog band. They sounded good although I would have liked to have known more of the songs that they played.
Next time I go back I believe I'm going to try one of...
