Nicky's Pizza and Deli — Restaurant in Town of Ramapo

I recently stopped into Nicky’s Pizza & Deli in Montebello, NY, and wow—what a memorable visit from start to finish. The moment I walked in, the guys behind the counter greeted me like an old friend, practically welcoming me in with open arms.

I ordered their Parmesan pie and a BBQ chicken slice, while my friend went for a piping-hot Sicilian and a chicken-bacon slice. Every bite was fantastic—hot, fresh, and packed with flavor. The Parmesan pie had that perfect cheesy crisp, the BBQ chicken slice was savory and satisfying, the Sicilian arrived steaming and soft, and the chicken bacon slice was a hearty, flavorful one-two punch.

What truly stood out was their service—they made me feel like family, not just a customer. And props where they’re due: even the bathroom was clean and well-maintained, which is huge for a casual spot like this.

I have nothing more positive to say about Nickys ever since the owner Gary left. It has gone downhill you order there. You don't get the correct order. They mess my order up every time now so I'm done. I was eating there one time and a guy asked me do I wanna work like he was pacing the floor as if he was nuts I said no but let me ask my kids. My daughter worked almost 8 hours and got paid $20 for the day that's insane. My other daughter was supposed to work for him but refused to work for that amount of money that's not even legal. They've overcharged me multiple times I'm fighting with my bank now because of a double charge two different amounts one for 33 and one for 26 when I only ordered two Caesar chicken wraps with a five dollar tip put on there that's illegal. We have been regulars at Nicky’s for years ordering our regular Thursday or Friday order of Pizza for lunch at work. Well new owners have taken over and the new staff seem to be very confused and definitely unorganized that can be understandable when taking over a new business but if you have a pizza place don’t you think even if everything else is out of your hands atleast the Pizza should speak for itself.
