Factory Espresso at Hart — Restaurant in Town of Ridgeway

The Factory Espresso at the Hart House Hotel certainly strives to be that authentic Italian coffee bar in a wannabe West Village boutique hotel. I hope the place attracts a lot of tourists and regulars and becomes successful because that will mean Medina’s economy is sustainable.

The espresso here? Not bad but there was a slight lack of flavor potency and the temperature was a bit too tepid for me. But the place just opened a few weeks ago, so growing pains are normal. My chocolate croissant was tasty. The menu here is fanciful and interesting, unique to any other in Medina. A repeat visit for brunch or lunch is on my to-do list.

The large street facing windows here provide an expansive and lovely morning view of Medina’s downtown Historic District, and the ambiance inside is a calm and welcoming one. My wife and I stopped here for a delicious hot latte on New Years Eve. Spoke to the owner, who was very nice and pleasant to talk to. I ordered the caramel latte and it was very good!
