Loved it here! The place is very charming and the service was great. I came here with a few friends after camping and we really enjoyed it. I got the ham and Swiss omelette with a side of kielbasa (a meat from Poland) and it was amazing! My boyfriend is polish and his family often eats kielbasa and he said it was very well cooked and fresh. My friend mentioned the oatmeal was really good as well as the western and American omelette. Everything was very reasonably priced and the service was wonderful, we had a large party and the servers catered to us very well. Thank you for the great food after a long time camping ! Also just a tip, it’s cash only so bring some with you.

Food was diner quality which is ok. Service was ok. But not too much of a friendly vibe going on. There are rude signs everywhere. Maybe funny to locals but not too impressed.

If you love an authentic diner, this is the place for you. Family run, nostalgic diner vibes, and a tight, classic diner menu with no substitutions. Also…Best pancakes ever!

To say that the place Is bad is an understatement. There are at least a dozen different violations. It is literally a nightmare in every way...but I do not put the blame completely on the restaurant owners. This time it was obvious to me that the family who is trying to run this restaurant are in a huge financial and emotional distress. Somethong big must have happened and affected the family that owns the restaurant... I do not know what it is, but I am sure that it is so. My heart goes out to them...I am waiting them ad one star, because it is what the restaurant is now, and my waiting might prevent a disaster... The town or Livingston Manor must have a proper business administration/organization at their city hall. The town must have genuinely professional accountants, restaurant owners, market research experts, basic social services... It looks to me that the town completely neglects it's townsfolk. The town does not take care of its own. By the way--- the roads...awful!! Very sad. The Robin Hood Diner building is a fire trap. It is falling apart. The people working in it are exactly like the structure of their diner. Very sad, shame on the town of Livingston Manor for this kind of neglect. If you did not shut down this place, that needs to be shut down BEFORE a visitor/guest dies or gets injured there...THEN COME AND HELP THEM! I brought my disabled husband there today for breakfast. The handicap ramp is out of service. The existing stairs have a roof above them that is propped up, about to collapse!!! The other entrance with railings are crambling... we had a very very hard time getting my husband's walker in. The food was awful... everything was raw... the prices that do not cover their supply expenses. They obviously have no idea how much a diner like that charges today... no credit cards are accepted... the stuff are dusgrunteled, trying their best...dirty t-shirts, dirty jeans... We should have left. But we stayed, I paid a 30% tip...maybe that would...

I’m writing this review for 2 reasons. I see hate and negative comments in this thread that DO NOT reflect my experiences at this establishment. I also find this place to be an absolute gem all run by one of the best families I’ve ran into ever. Jan Pekny is an absolute sweetheart. The pain she’s had to endure recently has broken my heart and yet, she still pushes on to give people fantastic service as well as starting a beautiful fundraiser in honor of her beautiful son that has passed. People don’t know what true heart and soul is when they see it. It lies here at the Robin Hood diner. It was a pleasure meeting her family all whom care so much about their business. The signs people speak of, are fun. It’s the point. If you don’t have even a shred of humor in your body, maybe go elsewhere. I can’t wait to go back. Best breakfast I’ve had along with some of the best coffee as well. 2 times I’ve been to this please in the matter of 3 weeks all while I’m seeing terrible reviews that DO NOT reflect this establishment. I love these people and what they stand for and for what they’re offering to their community. This diner deserves to live on forever. Don’t hesitate to stop into this place that is overflowing with heart. While you’re at it, ask one of these beautiful people how that diner came to be and I’m sure it will bring a smile to your face. I love the Robin Hood diner and the family that runs it! I can’t wait to go back and enjoy the amazing food and company at the...

Bill $15.75. Handed over $26 (twenty and six singles), expecting a $10 back. Given 9.25 back and then was mad at me for knowing how math works while berating a now permanently former customer. I just stood there for a minute, half in shock, and he finally took a dollar "out of his tips" and sent me on my way. I didn't even say anything as he had already shut down the conversation.

As mentioned elsewhere there a plenty for attempts at humorous signs that are just rude (sensing a theme), the bathrooms somehow pass health code, and frankly the waitress gave me coffee instead of Orange Juice, then just put it back into the pot when she cleared it. NO CAN DO.

To be perfectly honest, it is clean enough to spawn the next viral outbreak, but stay for...
