Antonio's Ice Cream — Restaurant in Town of Salina

My gf and I stopped here Sat 7/25/20, around 9:30pm. We had never been here before so we walked up sort of between the 2 service windows as we browsed the menu. Due to Covid we respectfully kept our distance from the windows waiting to be be acknowledged. Well, that never happened. Two young gentlemen walked right up beside us, as 2 females working inside flocked to the window to serve them. Beyond aggravated, I kept looking right at the workers, wondering how or why you would do that. Only one of them actually looked back; I’m sure she understood that this was wrong. My husband and I discovered Antonio's only because we were staying at the Super 8 just across the road. We both love soft serve ice cream so we thought we'd give Antonio's a try. We were a little shocked at the pricing until we received our cone and dish - yikes! Had we known what the portions were like, we would have ordered one medium dish and split it. But we're not complaining, it was absolutely delicious! My husband had orange sherbet and vanilla mixed (like a Dreamsicle) and I had a medium twist cone of vanilla and chocolate. I love going here. If I had one complaint ever it would be the visit I had yesterday. I asked for a vanilla chocolate twist on a cone. The chocolate was not working and instead of the girls letting me know they whispered amongst each other and covered it up with sprinkles thinking I wouldn’t notice. I did say something and that is when I was told about the machine not working correctly. I then saw someone else walk away with a perfect vanilla chocolate twist. I would have preferred a choice of something else as opposed to a cover up. It won’t stop me from going here but I will ask for something different next time...
