Our waitress was AMAZING! BUT, as for the cook, he/she was either having a rough day or shouldn't be a line cook! We ordered 2 adult entrees and a kid's entree. Every one of our meals had an issue, big enough to result in being sent back. My turkey bacon looked like it was only on the grill top for 20 seconds. It was completely limp, had zero color on them & had a strange feel in my mouth when I bit into it (my grandson's turkey bacon was perfect!) My husband ordered a burger with fries. The fries were stone cold & literally dripping with oil. You could actually squeeze a fry & oil dripped from it. Sent them back for new ones. My grandson ordered toast, turkey bacon & scrambled eggs. He was brought pancakes instead of toast. The 3 small pancakes were covered in a scoop of butter on each one that had melted all over each pancake (we had asked for dry toast because he hates butter). We were told he could keep the pancakes if he wanted them (he did not), but, there would be a $2.00 charge for them. We didn't want them (who would with that much butter on them!) We then had to wait for his toast, my bacon & my husband's fries to all be made. Our waitress apologized repeatedly for the mistakes. In the meantime, another waitress was having a temper tantrum. She was screaming loud enough for the entire place to hear her and then she stomped to the front door, slammed it open, and stormed outside. She returned 5 mins later, still yelling something about "I told you I'd take care of it!" (Not really sure who she was talking too) She then went over to a table, on the opposite side of the restaurant from where we were sitting, with 2 adults at the table and was flailing her hands all over as she talked to them. She had lowered her voice enough so you couldn't actually hear what she was saying. She stomped into the kitchen, yelled something indecipherable, then, again stormed out the front door for another 3 or 4 mins. To say the least, our experience was not pleasant! I don't think we'll revisit this particular...
Read moreWow, what to say about the experience my partner and I just had here. First and foremost, our server Pamela B. had the WORST attitude I’ve ever seen in a customer service environment. She didn’t even try to hide the fact she was homophobic, as she treated our presence as if it was some kind of affront or massive inconvenience. She took one look at the pair of us and you could see her expression change immediately. When walking us to our table, she threw the menus down and before we could even properly sit she asked “do you know what you want?” and walked away all pissy when we said we needed a moment.
When she brought us our water and coffee she said “Do yall know what you want yet?” In a snotty tone and was behaving as though she would rather be anywhere else. She didn’t provide us with silverware which made me have to get up and walk to the host stand and get it myself. She then intentionally put the food we ordered in front of us in the opposite order. She never checked on us, never asked how the food was, and then literally 5 minutes after we got the food she came over and slapped the check on the table and walked away without two words. However, when interacting with the tables around us she was talkative and polite and seemed to be enjoying her day.
If she’s gonna be ignorant, bigoted, and overtly hateful toward people she should NOT be working in a public customer service venue.
It had been sometimes since we’ve been to Denny’s, so we wanted to give it a shot, however, this experience made it so we will never be back to any location ever, and we will also spread the word to our network to make sure that our allies don’t come here either.
Also, $4 for...
Read moreCame in after a concert, a little before 1am. There were open tables but a back up on seating. When we were seated, we were told it would be a 30 minute wait. Not an issue. We told the server we were thirsty and needed water. We got it 20 minutes later. She said they were out of clean glasses. Well past the 30 minute mark, two women and a small child came in and seated themselves at an empty table, while others were being told it would be an hour. One got up, went into the kitchen, made food, and brought it back out. She did not have a u oform on but we assume she works there. We managed to flag our server. She said "soon". A while layer we flagged her down again. We said if it wasn't coming, we were leaving. She said she'd check. She never came back. We never got drink refills. As we got nothing but water, we left at 2:10 am. The server saw us leaving and I told her we weren't waiting any longer. She said she told us it would be a wait. I said yes, 30 minutes. It's been over an hour, and speaking of, there are people who have been here longer than us who are still waiting, and that table served themselves and that's not right. The server shrugged, and the woman with the young child started flinging insults at me. Completely uncalled for, and poor customer service, whether one if them was an...
