Had a dinner here with the hubs, son and granddaughter. It was the only place we could find in the area that was open on Sunday. It's a restaurant that services this little town because we couldn't find another one open. It's also a restaurant that can't make up it's mind what to serve. It serves Italian dishes. It serves sandwiches. It serves subs. Also steak. And surprisingly German potato salad. The antipasto was amazingly good as well as the dressing that accompanied it. The only meal to complain about was my roast beef on weck A weck roll has caraway seeds and course salt on the top and makes the sandwich. However, my beef was way over done and sliced to thick to bite and chew. I ordered a glass of Chardonnay and as soon as I saw the color of the wine I knew it was bad. Sort of dark yellow. Eww. A complaint to the waitress and she took it off the bill. It was very busy on this place after 5 PM so apparently the locals like it. Our waitress was very nice and very efficient, considering this place was very under staffed I can't give a shout out to her service as she never introduced herself. But she was very accommodating to my family. There is beer, and soda pop. I do not...
Read moreWe went here after our son’s playoff game at Pioneer this weekend. We stood there for 15 minutes before anyone came to seat us, and when we told them party of 11, the server said “well that’s gonna be a problem” and walked away. I tried to follow her and tell her we’ll just sit at different tables if it’s easier but she pretty much snapped at me and said they’d been working since 4 without a hostess. I understand the service industry continues to suffer and everyone is short staffed but had it just been me and my family, I probably would have left at this point. But we had hungry boys so we waited for them to get a table together. Once seated, we waited 15 more minutes before another server came to get our drink and food order. I think she was trying to joke and said “everyone just wants pizza and wings right?” It just felt awkward. I usually have a lot of respect for those in the service industry and go out of my way to be nice especially when I see they’re struggling, but they were just plain rude to us. I felt uncomfortable...
Read moreWent just this past week 1/09/16 food was great but our waitress when giving us our bill scolded and criticized my boyfriend and I for not taking home our leftover fettuccini Alfredo which each plate only had maybe a few bites left nothing worth taking home in a box but what she said was " maybe the next time the two of you come here you should think about just splitting one plate of this instead of getting two so you won't be wasting or throwing away perfectly good food" maybe I'm wrong but someone that's worked in the food service/customer service industry you just do not say something like that to a customer it's not your place. She also argued with my boyfriend when he asked her he wanted chicken with his Alfredo because he couldn't hear her when she first took our order and asked what he wanted on his Alfredo cause she wasn't speaking loud enough. I won't go back due to this service I found it to be extremely rude and I'm am so taken a back that she would think its okay to say that to us let...
