Have been to my place a decent amount. The bar staff inside at night is always fabulous. Today I took my mom here for lunch and for a place that claims they have the best patio in Shodack they need to hire some better staff outside. We were told to pick whatever table we wanted and after sitting at the table for about 10-15 mins without any attention my mom caught the waitresses eye and just mouthed "can we get menus?". She proceeded to check all her other tables first rather than realize she had forgotten about us. A larger group then came in and we decided to give them the table we were at because it was bigger and it was just the two of us. The waitress met us at the new table with menus and asked what we wanted to drink, no apology. We got our waters fairly quick considering the wait for menus. We looked over the menus for a few minutes, decided what we wanted, closed them and started chatting. The waitress passed by countless times and helping everyone around us. While she did have a hand full of tables there was 3 other girls working as well. This wasn't that it was extremely busy/under staffed. 20 more minutes went by. Before we knew it she was taking the food order of the large group that had come 15 minutes after us we had nicely swapped tables with. So we got up and left very annoyed, hungry, and confused as to why we were treated so poorly. No one said a word as we left. The food is mediocre at best anyway. From now on I'd much rather support Samson's right down the road. 35 mins is far too long especially if other tables that arrived after you get...
Read moreDrove out here from Springfield, MA to meet a couple friends from the area. It was expectedly busy for a Saturday night, and our waitress looked like she was one of two covering half the restaurant. She was attentive as she was able to be, and provided the best service she could.
Food: Loaded Nachos: Amazing! Chili, jalapenos, pulled pork(?), among other things I know I'm forgetting, and tri-color chips....that's a little something that I've never seen before and really a unique touch. I split this with my wife, and still took 1/4 of it home because we couldn't get through it. The salsa offered with it was very good as well. Not incredibly spicy, but not outright mild either. It paired well.
Chicken Bacon Ranch Quesadilla: I have never seen a quesadilla this big before. Had to have been 3/4" thick or more with everything stuffed in it....and it held together PERFECT. The chicken was tossed in a sauce that complimented the nicely portioned bacon and ranch. Nothing was dripping all over the place as I was trying to eat it, and that was a welcome change from most quesadillas I've had prior.
The hour-plus long drive each way was worth it. I'll have to make a return trip at some point....there's too much on the menu I...
Read moreThe mac n cheese, sweet potato fries and pretzels with beer cheese were great! The waitress was nice but heres the ALTHOUGH, it would of been nice to be suggested other seating maybe inside. We sat on the patio as it was a beautiful day. We ordered at 6pm then AFTER ordering was informed that a comedy show started at 7pm so just be done before that so she wouldn't have to kick us out. We had 2 children with us they eat slow. We received our food about 6:25 pm. Our check at 6:45 and was asked if we needed boxes which we asked for 1 for our daughter because she wasnt finished (she never finished it later because it was cold.) Clearly not enough time to eat. We declined boxes for our 2 clearly almost untouched plates (except the delish fries!) We ordered an ny steak sandwich medium rare....could barely chew it. We also ordered a brisket sandwich. I had high hopes for this because i love me some brisket! Nope. Sauce was horrible. Tasted more like sloppy joe and tomato soup. The brisket couldnt even be chewed. I couldn't even tear it apart without looking like a starved bear eating her first meal in weeks. They have great pretzels but unfortunately overall i was very...
