Timberwolf Pub — Restaurant in Town of Schroon

I usually give places and people the benefit of the doubt. Maybe they were just having a bad day. Maybe they were understaffed - understandably Covid-19 has put on a lot of stress all around. But, we thoroughly did not enjoy our time at this establishment. We walked in and were grumpily greeted by the bartender, where when he took our order, he sat down at the table and first complained about the day he was having. We asked for a few drinks but their list wasn't updated which he didn't explain, so we kept listing off drinks until he thought he had it in stock. Then came the food order - we all got burgers. One of us asked for no lettuce, one of us asked for no onion. He made a comment about how we were going to ruin the cook's day. Jump forward to when we received our meals and even the girl who brought out our food didn't know what some of the burgers were. The 'Mexican burger' that was ordered was noted as a burger with jalepenos by her...?? A few of our plates were also wrong, but figured there was no sense in sending any food back at this point. The burgers were reminiscent of a Bubba burger you'd get from the grocery store, and reflecting on our orders, none of us were asked how we'd like the burgers cooked. All of them were just well done. I feel bad anytime I give a negative review, but what's the point in doing this if you only give good reviews? This one was even harder to do because the owner was such a sweet, woman, and the staff (and a patron helping) were super nice. Anyway... We stopped here on a motorcycle trip because our first choice was closed and this place was next door. We asked for very common drinks, but the women behind the bar didn't know how to make them. It turns out that one woman didn't even work there and was just trying to help because they are short staffed. The "cook" was also behind the bar helping, and, after we looked up the recipe for a drink she agreed to make it. The food is what really killed the experience. The bread on my sandwich was toasted so much that it literally fell apart (see pic) when I tried to take a bite. The fries were very cold and not cooked all the way through. My friend got a burger that was literally raw in the center and the bun appeared to still be a bit frozen. His fries were also very undercooked. I was visiting the bar quite often I was under the assumption that the people who owned the bar were good people But come to find out They are not good people They are the type of people that make up rumours and talk behind your back You do not need to know people like that because they are no good They have nothing else better to do than to talk bad about somebody else to boost their own self worth therefore I no longer go to this bar or talk to them at All That's all I am going to say At least I'm not talking behind your back posting it so they can read it and if they've got something to say they know where I live I was extremely nice That's all...
