Empanadas & More — Restaurant in Town of Smithtown

We ordered takeout and got home to find the entire order was wrong — only one item was correct. They apologized and delivered the right food, but it somehow got worse.

They gave me $50 back, then handed me a new bill for $44 because we were apparently overcharged. Confusing and unprofessional.

The “correct” food was awful — dry, inconsistent, and looked worse than the wrong order. The rice was clearly scraped from the bottom of multiple pots, and the pork dish had less meat than the one we didn’t even order.

We called to share our disappointment and spoke to the owner, who said, “That’s how it’s served,” then hung up on us. We were so frustrated we drove back to return the food — the owner didn’t say a single word.

I am on the never ending quest to find the best empanadas. I have had everything from high end Mexican restaurant empanadas to food truck empanadas in different states.

Empanadas and more are in my top 3. I’m not a corn empanada fan but theirs are INSANE. The flour empanadas aren’t that far behind. I like the non traditional fillings as well as the standard options. The “taco empanadas” are also an amazing combo.

I also got a burrito that was the equivalent of some other local “monster” burritos and it was only $10.

It sucks that I recently move further away from Nesconset and can’t have this delivered. But if I’m ever in the area I’d gladly bypass Taco Bell and get some real deal food for a...

I do plumbing and drain work in many restaurants/kitchens. This was by far the cleanest kitchen I've ever worked on. Every time I went outside and came back in, the area I was working was cleaned before I had a chance to do so. Didn't eat the food but would confidently eat here knowing it was properly prepared. The woman i delt with was a owner or family of owner. This was when they were fairly new to the location, I left a review then but I must have clicked on a different business when I left it.
