I wanted to take the time during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 to leave a review for both the business itself and its business owner during these most difficult times because after what I witnessed yesterday evening on a Sunday after dinner time during the unofficial beginning of summer month, May (weekend after Memorial Day Weekend); which is traditionally a family day in general, but especially when living in suburbia and plus during these most difficult times; by taking the time to both acknowledge and appreciate both the business and particularly its owner specifically. After visiting the location for the first time in person in general, but also during these unusual times we’re living in; both within our nation and throughout the globe and was approached with a line out of the business doorway. Expected, these days due to social distancing, but in this particular case; it was obvious that it was because the business and its product was worthy of its heavy traffic. Upon entering the parlor and waiting on its socially distant line; I noticed that an older middle aged man was working solely by himself with an N-95 mask on and lengthy line outside his storefront business. Presumably, I assumed that he was the owner and sure enough; that was confirmed based upon the pleasantries he was going out of his way to have with each customer as they approached the register to place their orders. Taking his time, making each customer feel both valued and appreciated and ensured everyone’s orders were made thoroughly. I’m bringing awareness to this because it was during my wait on the line when the next customer who came in shortly after me started to become visibly bothered by the business owner and the pleasantries he was exchanging with each of his customers (myself included). I made it appoint to turn back and express my disappoint with the customer behind me with a facial expression that they were in plain sight of and although the customers verbalized dissatisfactions to himself stopped; the customer remained with a unpleasant look upon their face. Regardless, that business owner who again; is a man of a certain age, working by himself because he had mentioned that all of his employees are younger and their parents won’t allow them to work during these times; remained, as charismatic, etc. as he possibly could under the overall circumstances. Between that and the product of which I also recommend and had for the second time; which was even better to me after yesterday’s experience and that could’ve stemmed from all that I am writing, but either way; a stellar review for both this business and its owner were in order because all that was missing was the “Blood,” from the expression of someone putting their “Blood, sweat and tears,” into something and in this case it happens to be this man and his business. Thanks again and stay safe and as happy as can be in general/under the...
Read moreI recently visited Strong Island Ice Cream in Neaconsett, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. The array of homemade ice creams they offer is impressive, and the variety of flavors catered to everyone’s preferences. From classics to unique creations, there was something for everyone. The soft serve was creamy and velvety, hitting the perfect balance of sweetness. But what stole the show was the hot fudge—it was simply heavenly. Rich, smooth, and incredibly tasty, it elevated the ice cream to a whole new level of indulgence. The staff was friendly and provided excellent service, making the visit even more enjoyable. If you’re in the area and craving some delectable ice cream, Strong Island Ice Cream is the place to go. You won’t be...
Read moreHands down best homemade ice cream in the area. There's always a unique new flavor to try! The coffee tastes like a real cup of coffee, it's got a kick to it but don't expect it to be sickly sweet, it's perfect for coffee lovers. The dark chocolate is my all time favorite, fiancee loved the cinnamon while it was around. Strawberry cheesecake was fantastic, Ube as well. The sorbet tastes like fresh fruit, refreshingly tangy and cold and sweet- perfect for a hot day. Acai, mango coconut are the ones I've tried so far I think. Dont sleep on the hot fudge, I get a to go cup of it too and put it on everything 😅 it's like a melted chocolate bar but somehow even more richly chocolate tasting than some European chocolate...
