I don’t write too many reviews but this place was worth making one. They were so friendly, quick service (granted it was quiet at the time), and our waitress was a perfect amount of attentive and not intrusive. Especially during quiet time - I’ve had so many wait staff forget to check in on my table when it’s so quiet but she balanced it perfectly.
THE FOOD: I’m so used to places giving smaller and smaller servings as the prices keep going up but you definitely get your money’s worth here. It’s not just good portions it’s good food! I got the shepherds pie, my mom got the French onion soup and a salad, and my cousins got/shared the muscles and the grilled cheese/soup. It was so much food! My shepherds pie was delicious and I will absolutely be getting that grilled cheese next time. I did want to get dessert but we were stuffed. Next time though - I’ve got my eye on the trifle (never had one before but I’m going to try it here).
It was nice that the owner came out to check on us and thank us for coming as well. Surprisingly rare experience dining out for a change - good food with the value, pleasant people, and a genuine Irish roots kind of place. My sister goes there a bunch and now I will be making a few...
Read moreI have eaten there several times over the past few weeks. We had a larger group than usual yesterday (recommend reservations).
A few good pints in the pub, excellent late lunch in the dining room, then back to the pub. The Guinness pours are good. My meal yesterday, and the ones prior, have been excellent. I've tried the fish and chips, bangers and mash, corned beef, and shepherd's pie as main courses. Good sized portions and terrific quality and flavor.
The wait service is friendly and attentive. Each time I've eaten there, either one of the owners or the chef have checked to see how our meal was.
All around great experience. It will definitely be a regular dining...
Read moreBartender Shannon was a pleasant person with suggestions on all. Food drink soup apps. She corrected us quickly when we ordered some French onion soup. Irish onion soup in these neck of the woods. Loved it. By the way soup was one of the best I had. And table agreed. Guinness was good. Burgers we all asked for medium all came out well done. We don’t send food back just not what we do. But definitely ruined the burger. Was way too dry so can’t give the place a 5. Will come in again for lunch mon or thur when Shannon is there just a nice person at heart. Will have to give burger another try. We had two drinks each burger and soup about 60 per person. That’s...
