Hauppauge Palace Diner — Restaurant in Town of Smithtown

Make sure to double check what they are charging you because they will definitely over charge you and then act very defiant about it… I ordered an egg and cheese sandwich from them last week and they said it was $12… And I even double checked with them in the moment… I asked them “ $12 for an egg and cheese on a roll”? They confirmed… however, I still had my suspicions and I called a few days later to double check the price and it was 8.50!!! … They overcharged me by three dollars!!! … And when I asked them about why they overcharged me They treated me like I was trying to scam THEM out of three dollars 😂😂😂 no thx u can keep your overpriced crappy food with your lousy attitude

Edit: I just had an AMAZING egg and cheese sandwich at Mundays in Huntington! It was delicious. The employees where very NICE and totally PROFESSIONAL… I was in and out in 5 mins … and whats best? I only paid 6.50! About half of what SOME OTHER PLACES charge 😉

I have been coming to this diner for the past 5 years and have had nothing but excellent service. The food is always fresh & my order is always correct. The last time I came in, the manager even gave me free desserts on the house because I am a frequent customer. I love coming here with my family for brunch. My go to is the avocado Monterey Jack omelette, and my family loves the homemade CBH and Silver $ pancakes. They even have an extensive gluten free menu, and vegetarian options. The diner has always been really clean but they are taking even more extra steps now due to Covid. For those concerned about Covid they have plastic dividers throughout the diner & between the booths, and hand sanitizer dispensers all over. I follow them on instagram and they have also been getting treatments by Advanced Cleaning and Disinfecting. The entire staff is so friendly, helpful & kind. The managers and owners really do care about the customers, and it shows. They will go out of their way to make sure that your experience at the HPD is like no other. I 100% recommend. I have even ordered from them on grubhub on days that I don't feel like driving, and the food and experience is just as good and carefully packed with a tamper proof seal. I...

Excellent diner, family owned for decades. Clean, cool decor, fast, friendly service, delicious food! Everything you want (but don't always get!) in a diner. We went twice, during a recent visit to LI and were so happy to find a real diner, run by a family who knows how to do it well! First visit hubby had the Philly Cheese Steak. He is not really a steak guy but he could not stop raving about how tender and flavorful the steak was! He absolutely LOVED it. I had my standard bacon and eggs (even though it was 9pm!) and it was cooked really well and large amount of eggs! Must be big chickens lol. Our second visit was for breakfast and we both ordered the Challah French Toast with bacon. Yum, yum, yum! Thick slices of Challah bread, seasoned with a touch of cinnamon. Mmm good! Service both times were super fast, they never made us feel like we were being rushed out of the place, and the food was just great. When we were leaving we both used the restrooms and both the men's and women's were immaculate! Super clean, inside and out, great staff who seemed like they were all family, great food. Perfect! I really wish we had a diner like this anywhere near...
