Mi Pueblo Restaurant — Restaurant in Town of Smithtown

First time going there and no one was at the front to greet us or to even sit us. Waited 5 minutes just for 2 girls who were by the back to just stare at us and do nothing. My husband had to walk to them in order for us to get a seat. Then one of them just says “yeah sit wherever you want”. As first time customers, how are we suppose to know it’s self seating if the employees do nothing but just stare at the ones that come through the door. Got seated, waited 15-20 minutes and no waiters came by to ask us for drinks or starters. Meanwhile there was a group of employees huddled up by the kitchen just talking. So my husband and I just got up and left. Mind you, it was Tuesday night and it wasnt busy. At this point, did we have to go to the chef ourselves to order our food? Whoever is the manager of the kings park restaurant, find better staff. People who actually want to work. If it takes 15-20 minutes for just someone to even come to our table to bring drinks, how long will it take for the food to come out? I heard great things about this restaurants food but now unfortunately I won’t be coming back to this...

I've gotten take out from this restaurant a number of times, and it has been so good. I went in on Thursday to dine in, and the restaurant was atrocious. There was a number of empty tables that sat completely unclean (and I mean, it was bad - like one table with chips all over the table, bench, and floor right when you walk in) as if all the parties had just left, which I thought might have been the case when we first entered. But as time went on, we saw that still no one was cleaning the tables. It also seemed like there was plenty of staff on hand to do. It became our entertainment for the night - watching the staff to see if anyone was going to clean all the tables. We had view of the kitchen and saw that multiple people kept inching the busser cart closer and closer to the dining area, but it was sat there unused. So the atmosphere was awful - sitting in a sea of dirty tables, food strewn all over. The service was only okay. The food was really good though. We've decided that this is a take...

To start,is no body receiving customers,I had to go all way to the back one of the employees was seat down doing something,,but ignored me,,after 5 minutes she came asking if is to pick up food ,,I said" I want to eat here" she gave me the menu and sent me to pick a table!! Service very bad ,,,and the menu is 75%mexican food but they don't know anything about it! I order chicken enchiladas ,what I got was cube fry chicken inside of tortilla cover with pasta tomato sauce!! No Mexican sauce ,no flavor at all ,no Mexican flavor enchiladas with black beans and white rice everything no flavor at all!!! And obviously is not MEXICAN GOOD ! VERY DISAPPOINTED!!

I don't know how they have 4.5 stars ,,maybe all them family??? I want authentic Mexican food...
