Candy Kitchen is a great little diner. The ice cream is delicious, the milk shakes are incredible, and the diner-style food blows Princess Diner away. Candy Kitchen only gets three stars from me because the service can be absolutely abysmal. As a lifelong resident of the area, a few bad experiences will not stop me from coming back, but I would certainly understand first-timers who do not return. Yes their ice cream is decent - but if you want to pay $17 for a few eggs and sausage, or $22 for a salad, you may as well walk a few steps down to Bobby Vans and have a proper meal. This place is just way way way overpriced for what it is. And what you get is very average. Trust me, if you are in the Hamptons and want the old school "soda shop" experience, go to Sippin Soda in Southampton. Same idea....
