Dopo il Ponte Bridgehampton — Restaurant in Town of Southampton

Located in the heart of Bridgehampton, Dopo is consistently great. We were seated promptly for our reservation. From the greeting to our departure, service was warm and efficient. Friendly without being overbearing and there whenever we needed them.

We had tuna tartare, funghi pizza and rigatoni vodka. All were delicious and quick to the table. I’ve just returned from a few weeks in Italy (which I visit nearly every summer). The food was on par in an American way. The tartare was perfection - with enough seasoning and sauce to let the tuna shine through. The pizza was my favorite - light airy crust and packed with flavor. The pasta was al dente and delicious. My only regret was not having room for a salad and dessert.

I love the lively garden patio. Bustling with a mix of families, couples, and oldies.

We wanted to have a wonderful meal passing this place many times. That was just not the case. The drinks, a whiskey sour, and two of their $25 house offerings were, and I need to say, the worst drinks I have ever been served. The sour was a glass of over lemon flavor with not much more assertainable flavor. The crab tagliatelle had little to no crab flavor and way over lemon again. The Frieto Misto was fried calamari with one shrimp and one piece of fish. The San Danielle pizza was the best of four dishes ordered. The bottled water was brought to the table in opened bottles. Could be refilled with tap. Who knows. Either way just not worth 100+ per...

Noel the hostess was gracious and got us in last minute. We were not rushed or pushed out even though it was Memorial Day weekend. Jenn who has helped us many times is a true professional with a smile always on her face. The decor is comfortable, cushions, tablecloth, cozy… elegantly done. The food is perfect. We started with pizza and the artichoke, heart of palms salad and I finished my entire bowel of Bolognese with homemade pasta. To finish off I had the Bread pudding.
