Carvel — Restaurant in Town of Southampton

I ordered a cake on Monday 8/12 from the Carvel on Coury Rd 39, requesting it for Thursday 8/15. The employee did not take my phone number, despite my asking if it was needed. When I went on Thursday 8/15 the cake was not made. The employee told me she did not make it because the order form stated Thursday, but had no date. She asked when I needed it for. I pointed out that since it was Thursday and I said I was there to pick up a cake, it must be today. I suggested that the employee taking the order be spoken to /trained and the employee told me they never work together so she would never see her. I was given horrible service, yet the employee could not see this. I asked for a refund. When it was done the receipt was blank. I pointed this out to the employee and her response was that the machine was out of ink, as if that was my fault also. She hand wrote the amount and I asked for her name so that I had reference and if the credit did not appear on my credit card. She pointed out to me that it was 3:31 and I was on camera. Unprofessional + upsetting experience

I was at this Carvel recently and witnessed something very disturbing. The owner (or manager) called one of the young employees and was yelling at her over the phone— loud enough for everyone in the store to hear. It was completely unnecessary and extremely disrespectful, especially considering she is a minor. Right before the call, the young girl had been working very hard and doing her best during a busy rush. After the phone call, she was clearly devastated, crying and having to leave the store while customers were still waiting in line. The other worker was left alone to handle everything. No employee— especially a young one, should ever be spoken to like that. If this is how management treats their staff, it’s unacceptable. Someone needs to look into how this location...

As an Ice Cream connoisseur, I find this place just fantastic. The place is always fully stocked with quick grab cakes and other treats. Its clean and its huge. Looks like their flagship location.
