This Starbucks occupies a former bank building from the 19th Century. Walk-in safe preserved for your viewing pleasure. By far the largest Starbucks in the Hamptons with very good service. Each village of the Hamptons has its own vibe. Southampton, for me, has a overwhelmingly negative vibe. Sag Harbor has a distinctly paranormal vibe. Bridghampton village, however, is bucolic and, above all, oddly atmospheric. It is by far my favorite village. It's pure magic in the autumn and so is Starbucks in the village of Bridghampton. It has a lot to do with the unique natural muted sunlight and weather conditions in Bridge. It's very special. Attracts the artists among us. Bridghampton's native son, Carl Yastrzemski even commented on this year's ago. Unfortunately WiFi at this Starbucks location shakey. I've been hacked twice at this store in 2017. Hopefully they addressed the issue! Secure Wifi next door at library- it's free. Down the block, at Golden Pear, food really good, but no WiFi and tight seating. Get in and get out! In season you will be subjected to elbowing, line cutting, and truly horrid children by people that know they are far more important than you, darling! Now don't get me started on those horrendous drivers and those nasty little ticks! I can't bear the thought............ OMG, I'm late again for my Pilates class in Sag!!!! Ciao!!!!! It was...
Read moreStarbucks are Starbucks around the world. Finding a Starbucks with unique character is an adventure beyond the usual drink, food and nonsensicals filling Starbuck store shelves these day. The Starbucks in Bridgehampton is a level up to itself. This Starbucks was a Bank so when you walk in to the roomy gorgeous space, warmly decorated in neutral woodsy tones, you see there on the back wall behind the Baristas, you see the Bank's vault, door lock wheel and all. I love it. The outside front exterior has the old fashioned drop box intact, you know, back in the days when people trusted people enough to drop off the days receipts.
The Starbucks sits on a corner with easy entry driveways from two sides. There are two bathrooms that dont care whose butt goes on them as long as the gender leaves the room neat for others who will enter after.
The staff are congenial, meaning cool, chill, smiling. Definitely the Starbucks to go to when out this way. There is another Starbucks in East Hampton I went to today where I got more than I expected- naked old man buns when they fell as he lumbered along coffee in hand.
No, I did not ask for buns with my brew in East Hampton. Nor did I expect to see wild turkey Thanksgiving weekend.... saw deer too.
Go to Starbucks Bridgehampton to check out how Banks used to be before our world was turned...
Read moreExtremely unhappy, disappointed, and flat out disrespected my staff member who took my order early Saturday morning. The woman was considerably more helpful to the gentleman who was behind me in the line and it was fairly obvious why this was the case. I expect much more from this company and management should be ashamed of this particular employee. Avoid this location at all costs, 2018 this type of behavior is unacceptable in my eyes. I purposely don't want to get into much detail, but I'm hoping some readers can put the pieces together. I NEVER leave negative reviews bc I get it, sometimes we have a bad day. But this was deliberate, intentional disrespect, and ignorant. I look forward to speaking with management and/or corporate regarding my encounter...
