Food was amazing! Went during restaurant week (fall 24) and all the choices on the menu were unique and beautiful. If the bone marrow is on the menu, get it. I had the salmon, which was cooked correctly and didn’t taste “fishy” like some places accidentally do, and the almond crusted flounder had a really nice texture and wasn’t oily. Dessert was the bread pudding, which I believe had a splash of bourbon and honey, and was firm and not goopey batter like other bread puddings I’ve had in the past. The pecan pie, I was told, is spectacular and a nice spin on a classic, and the plate was licked clean.

The reason for 4 stars? I made a reservation for 6:30pm, and since it’s through Resy, you’re told you’ll be charged for cancelling/not being on time. Received multiple text messages reminding me to be on time. So I’m on time. And then a group in front of us, who had a reservation at flora, not fauna, gets seated ahead of us (under 5min wait for them) and another couple that came in later and didn’t have a reservation also was seated. In the end, I got to wait a half hour at the bar, after making sure to make a reservation, so other people without reservations could be seated. Really annoying. I understand it’s restaurant week, but people who make reservations should, I don’t know, actually have their reservations honored? Also, the fire alarm randomly went off and the staff was kinda like “this happens all the time! Don’t worry!” Which makes me, someone in the safety field, worried about what will happen if a fire actually happens? Fire rescue did show up to check, but still.

Overall, a nice place, will try again not during restaurant week to see if they can keep a schedule and if the fire alarm issue really does happen as often...

Atmosphere is nice, staff was nice but it was a bit chaotic, their style of service. The food was the greatest disappointment as we love Flora. It was all cooked VERY well it just lacked flavor for our taste but we are not “bland” people by any means of the word. The oysters weren’t good which was a big bummer for us, the mignonette was good and helped make the oysters palatable, but the sauce that the mussels came in, was my least favorite. The oysters were shucked beautifully, and the mussels were cooked perfectly, The duck was also cooked perfectly, fat rendered beautifully, no crispy skin, but that’s almost impossible to do so I won’t take points off for that but there just wasn’t enough flavor for us, personally. Best part was the cocktails and the popovers were good, would have enjoyed more flavor as that’s the theme of this post. The cocktails were so flavorful I just don’t understand what happened with the food . If we go back, it would just be for cocktails and desserts since we didn’t get to try the pecan pie which looks fabulous. I really wanted to love this place 😞 hopefully I will be editing this in the near future to give a better review. *updated my husband reminded me of the risotto, which was excellent so I’ve bumped it...

Visited last week for dinner and had a poor experience. First when we arrived we were told that they were not seating people outside that evening. It was a beautiful sunny evening in the Hamptons and not seating outside is very strange. I was about to leave after hearing that but as I know the food is so good we continued inside to our table. I should mention we arrived for dinner around 5:30 and it was not busy. We had terrible service. The drinks came out in a reasonable time delivered by the bartender which I found strange. When my appetizer arrived it looked great but it took 20 minutes for my partners soup to arrive. So I was sitting there in front of me getting cold on the table. I had no fork. Not once were we visited by the waitress, I had to flag the floor manager down. I let him know of the issue. He did not apologize. He brought me a fork and then went and brought out a room temperature bisque for my partner. This had led to our entrees being room temperature probably sitting in the kitchen. We were charged for an extra cappuccino after ordering it from the floor manager. Total fail for the night. Tuesday at 5:30 it was not busy. At over $125 per person I found it...

Do not recommend! We unfortunately had a really bad experience tonight at the restaurant. We were excited to try it out, because we had heard good reviews about the restaurant, but it didn’t live up to the hype. For starters we had the oysters and the lobster bisque. The oysters were full of shells and didn’t taste fresh. The lobster bisque was alright, but it was room temperature and there was only 2 small bites of lobster in it. For the mains we both had the salmon, which was raw inside and too burnt on the outside, so it was really bad. (The pictures says it all). But they took one of the main dishes of the bill, which was good. The waiter didn’t give a taste of the wine, before serving it, which we would have expected for the prices at the restaurant. Furthermore the waiter didn’t ask how the food tasted, so it was a bit too late to ask for the fish to be cooked more unfortunately. So overall we were really disappointed and will definitely not recommend. We paid around 150$ even after the salmon dish were taken off the bill, which was way too much for the standard of the food. Go try out some of the others amazing restaurants in Westhampton.

This place gets a 2 star for the wine and the desert. The steps of service needs improvement and the food is uninspired. Our waiter forgot to offer a taste after opening our bottle, never bothered to ask how our food was throughout 3 courses. We thought maybe he’ll ask before handing us the check, but he forgot to do so again. Now the food: the oysters were good briny but slightly creamy, clean finish. The lamb chops were dry and tasteless, the lamb died for nothing. The chef should try using thicker cuts and cook to medium rare unless otherwise specified. Use 2 chops if you want people to share, but cutting up one portion into 3 unequal thin cuts makes it difficult to control temperature. The tuna was over cooked. It should be ruby in the middle but it was brownish color on the inside. Duck rice had too much oil. He desert was warm pecan pie that was actually quite good. I think these issues can be improved on with better quality control in the kitchen and better floor management and staff training.
