Took my daughter here for dinner after dropping my wife off at Arts Center. We arrived a little early, and the hostess was friendly and quickly seated us, which was a nice start to the evening. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was a mixed bag. We each ordered a cocktail, and both were good. For dinner, we split the Porterhouse for two, priced at $145. While the steak was cooked to order, it didn't live up to the price tag. I've had better quality cuts at well-known steakhouses for less. It lacked the presentation I expect from a premium Porterhouse. The sides -- mashed potatoes & sautéed broccoli -- were excellent. However, the overall experience of the meal was diminished by how it was served. A runner dropped the plates off without a word -- not even a simple "enjoy." There was little to no steak juice on the main platter, which is usually part of the Porterhouse presentation. In most quality steakhouses (I get that this place doesn't bill itself as), the server plates the steak, pours some juices over it, and serves the sides -- none of that happened. They do offer peppercorn and steak sauce, but ideally, the steak should shine on its own. Service was the disappointing part of the evening. While the restaurant was not short-staffed, the service lacked warmth and attentiveness. Our server was pleasant when seating us and explaining specials, but never once checked in to ask how our food was -- despite walking past our table multiple times and even refilling our water. That would've been a perfect opportunity, especially considering our meal cost over $200 for two. Other staffer who refilled water or cleared plates didn't acknowledge us when we said "thank you" -- no eye contact, no smiles, no "you're welcome." And when we left, we passed three staff members near the hostess stand, none of whom said goodnight or acknowledged our departure. Very poor acoustics--it was difficult to hold convo. Sadly, fell short in both service and won't...
Read moreHorrible Experience. We were just told by the manager at the patio that he did not want our business. He told us he would not serve us. Here’s what happened:
They told us it was first come first serve in the bar area and yes, there were plenty of tables… plenty of room. We were there with two families including two children. We were polite, and we just wanted to have dinner before going to a show in town. The manager came running over and said not so fast. He said we don’t serve groups of 11. We said that’s fine… We’re happy to split up. We would just like to have dinner. He said no. He was extremely rude. Totally uncalled for. I said to him : (I was calm and collected) Are you really turning us away? He looked at me and said yes.
We left… Walked across the street to the Margarita grill. They were so pleasant and so accommodating… We were sitting down for dinner in six minutes. They pushed two tables together and we are right now… Enjoying fresh, guacamole and salsa and our food is on the way. everyone had a smile.
Here’s what I would say to the manager of the patio
Sir: you need to take a class on Customer Service.

Read moreAlthough I didn’t have the wherewithal to stay and try any of the food, I still wish I could rate this restaurant lower. As we approached the door there was a woman struggling to get her handicapped husband over the step to get through the door. We tried to help them as best we can, and while struggling asked the man inside if there was another entrance (I mean you need wheelchair accessibility by law). To that he responded “one sec.” He did eventually come to help my aunt help the couple as we continued to the hostess stand. They told us we would need to wait over an hour unless we want to sit by the bar. We take our seats and right as we’re scanning the menu another party of four comes in, asks for a table outside, no reservation, and get seated immediately. We decided to get up and leave and will never be turning back....
