This was my favorite place when I was younger and lived in the area. I moved out in 2006 and was happy to show my girlfriend my most nostalgic local eatery but was very disappointed in my visit yesterday. I walked in with a big smile on, having a great day when the woman who took my order was kind of rude for some reason. I ignored her. But I was then looking at their menu and saw they had garlic knots. Again, with an attitude, the woman claimed they didn't have any more garlic knots. I'm no pizza place professional but Im not sure how they make pizza, with dough, but can't make garlic knots? I would think it's the same dough but again I'm not sure how pizza places work so again I didn't make a big deal about it, just went back to sit down. Then we saw Italian ices on the menu. Not having had one in years, obviously not having learned my lesson trying to speak to this woman, I went up to order one. Not surprisingly she responded again with an attitude, "we haven't had Italian ices in years." I would say she almost scoffed at me. Well I would say since I moved out of Brewster in 2006, Its probably been more years since I have been to this pizza place. And what if I have never been to your pizza place? Why assume that I would just know, that something that is very clearly on your menu, you haven't had in years? All would have been acceptable, I am not gonna make a big deal that they are advertising things that they don't serve. But that woman has discouraged me from ever going back to my childhood favorite pizza place. I would reconsider who I had at my front counter greeting all...
Read moreThis company is petty and vengeful. I ordered a take-out of the Chicken and Broccoli pizza a couple weeks ago, I didn’t check it in the store and when we got home we realized they didn’t put the chicken on. We didn’t care too much and figured it was an honest mistake.
We tried to order again today, and I called after placing the order and just said “Hey, not a big deal but can you double check there’s chicken on the pizza we just ordered?” I explained about the previous time, didn’t ask for anything other than to double check.
We quickly confirmed the pizza was made correctly at the store but when we got home we realized a 10 slice pizza (listed as 10 slices) was cut into over 20 mini slices. Less than 3in width per slice. They also minced the broccoli and chicken while leaving the bell peppers massive chunks. The whole pizza was poorly made and not worth the price.
I cannot believe the pettiness of this kitchen. I did not ask for a refund of the previous, I’m not asking for one now. But it’s awful that they have employees that take it personally when someone calls to confirm an order is...
Read moreTHE PRICES ON THE MENU ARE NOT ACCURATE!!
I do not mind spending money on food but I do want to know what I am paying for.
What a great welcome we had when we arrived for lunch this afternoon. We were handed menus and the prices were very reasonable. We enjoyed our pizza by the slice and a half craft of wine.
When we paid, the bill did not add up correctly.
I took the receipt and asked to see the menu. Sharon looked at me and knew very well what I wanted to dispute.
I told her that the prices that we were charged were not the prices that we saw on the menu. I said, "you asked if we had been here before, and I said no." I told her I felt duped by this menu.
She showed me on the front of the menu that it had a disclaimer saying the prices were not accurate. I told her, reasonably, this disclaimer should be in the inside of the menu not on the outside (where people do not look) or it would be honest to tell people verbally when ordering.
Food mediocre. Service very friendly. Accurate and transparent about prices-...
