Blue Duck Bakery Cafe Southold — Restaurant in Town of Southold

Baked goods are good. However when I went to redeem my gifts cards the counter person said they weren’t any good. They weren’t the “new” ones.she asked if I had a receipt which I didn’t as they were a gift. They were a gift from my sister in law who has since passed away. I said ok just throw them away then. I bought a peach galette and 2 blue duck cookies. Should I keep the receipt in case my guests don’t like it? Good food Bad...

Small, quaint. Nice selection, and the dessert I purchased was very good/average. The young server was attentive at first, but then she lost interest and seemed in a rush. I was the only customer. Maybe I inconvenienced HER by taking an extra minute to decide? I didn't even get a "Thank you" or a "Have a nice day". She just gave me my change in a lump and walked away. Perhaps that kind of customer service is why it wasn't busy...

I was on vacation in Southold and went into the bakery and saw beautiful scones on display. I decided to buy a scone. When I got home, which is hours away, I opened the box to see the scone was all BURNT!!! I'm confused as to why I was given a burnt scone when there were tons of fresh looking scones on display? Long story short, the employees should not be serving the customers...
