Food was awsome and the place looks cool I recently had the pleasure of visiting Pookaberry Cafe, and I must say, the culinary experience was absolutely delightful! Among the various mouthwatering dishes I tried, the Chicken Adobo Pizza, Halo Halo, and Dulce Leche Cake with Caramel Beads truly stood out.
Let's start with the Chicken Adobo Pizza. The combination of tender chicken adobo, perfectly melted cheese, and a thin, crispy crust was a heavenly treat for my taste buds. The flavors complemented each other in a way that was both unique and comforting. It's a must-try for any pizza lover looking for a twist on a classic!
Moving on to the Halo Halo, it was a refreshing and indulgent dessert. Pookaberry Cafe's version of this traditional Filipino dessert was a delightful medley of various sweet ingredients. From the colorful assortment of fruits to the silky-smooth shaved ice and the creamy leche flan, every spoonful was a burst of happiness. It's the perfect treat to beat the heat!
Last but not least, the Dulce Leche Cake with Caramel Beads was a true showstopper. The moist and flavorful cake layers, generously filled with luscious dulce leche, were simply irresistible. The caramel beads added a delightful crunch and a touch of elegance to the overall presentation. It was a slice of heaven that left me craving for more!
The ambiance of Pookaberry Cafe was cozy and inviting, with friendly staff who provided excellent service throughout my visit. The food was prepared with great attention to detail and was served promptly. The portion sizes were generous, offering great value for money.
I highly recommend Pookaberry Cafe to anyone looking for a unique and satisfying dining experience. Whether you're a fan of Filipino cuisine or simply in search of new flavors to tantalize your palate, their Chicken Adobo Pizza, Halo Halo, and Dulce Leche Cake with Caramel Beads are sure to leave you wanting more. It was like a cilantro pesto.. delicious! The chicken could have been a bit spicier. I ordered beef over yellow rice. The beef was so tasty and flavorful.. I’d love to know what’s in the marinade! In addition to good food, it was a unique and special dining experience. We were treated like family and will certainly be back! Mattituck needs more variety in dining options. I have no previous experience with Filipino cuisine, but I found it very tasty...
