Verizon — Local services in Town of Southold

I gave up after wating on hold numerous times with corporare Verizon to set up a new phone and migrate my old phone's to it. I then tried on line live chat with Verizon tech support. After over 2 hours chat could not activate my new phone and they had deactivated my old phone. Verizon chat then "dissapeared" and I was left dead in the water with no working phone and my telephone, # was deactivated. Lucky for me I went to the Mattituck Verizon store and Sim took the time to straighten out the mess that corporate tech support created and was able to activate my new phone with my original phone #. Sim wouldn't even accept any compensation even though I did not purchase anything from that store, and as a new full time Southold resident, this was the first time I was ever in this store. Recently made a last ditch end of my rope endlessly waiting for telephone help visit to the Verizon store in Mattituck. After a short wait, was delighted to find the most pleasant of fellows , Sim, listened to my queries, sympathized with my dilemma and ACTUALLY FIXED my problem. Managing multiple phones and devices for multiple needs was challenging every month but Sim figured out a way to make it work. He was patient, knowledgeable, funny and willing to help. At no time did I feel inept, out of date or out of touch with technology - so often the first response of techies in these types of stores. And did I mention it took hardly any time at all? It was my most pleasant of customer service experiences of all time - and I am quite old. I would give this young man 10 stars if I could, and I hope Verizon recognizes what a gem they have in him. Went to Verizon in Mattituck to help my older mom obtain a much needed cell phone upgrade. I was truly stunned by the excellent service we received from Sim. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the products, he was patient with all our questions, he led us thru the somewhat nerve racking experience of changing phones with ease. He made the phone buying experience very easy for my mom, which is no easy feat. I cannot thank him enough.
