The Broken Down Valise — Restaurant in Town of Southold

I had two completely different experiences. First night my girlfriend and I had a great time with Patrick the bar manager. Super welcoming environment from everyone. Definitely a local dive bar.

Second night the female bar tender would not serve us. She was very rude about it saying that the state of NY would not accept vertical out of state IDs even though the ID was not expired and the person was 23. She was making up rules, clearly just wanted us to leave, and not accept our service even though we spent 4 hours there the night before with the manager. Very big disappointment and upset that we now have a sour taste...

Terrible experience. Bartender wouldn't serve us because we had out of state IDs and was rude about it. Told us that she got caught serving a 15 year old the night before with an out of state ID. My friends and I are in our 30s and had IDs and some of us had multiple forms of IDs. The patrons at the bar were really nice and it seemed like it would have fun. But obviously, we left. I wouldn't recommend this place. Go to East on...

Love this place on my first experience! Place was empty at 930..just 3 patrons..but they were very friendly and easy to talk with. The bartender was very nice and made my wife a nice drink! I saw this bar while buying donuts at NOFODOCO..and was very curious....
