I am a hispanic american and the food tastes pretty good enough for me from my own authentic standards. Here is the issue. Everyšsingleštimešme and my boyfriend have ordered they have gotten the order in some form wrong. Every time my boyfriend buys a dish specifically with jalapeƱos, they forget to add the jalapeƱos, and when he tells them extra, they forget something else. Communication is hard with them if you do not speak spanish and they often do not fully understand what you are saying, I can empathize, but me and my boyfriend are struggling for money so when we choose to eat out we are really choosing reasonably for our tastes and our budget. The first or second time you get the order wrong its like eh the foods okay enough for me to give you guys a shot, but if we order multiple times and every single time and order was made somethings wrong like (beef instead of chicken, no jalapeƱos on a jalapeƱo specifc dish, a pebble in the food, etc) Like its sad to say we cannot continue to order from you guys despite really giving you guys a good shot. My advice, make sure you check your order if you are taking out IMO there is a good chance they probably got something wrong. Communication can be difficult if you don't speak spanish. But the food quality was good enough to make me and my boyfriend continue to give them...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was in the neighborhood and looking for a nice place to grab a bite when I came across El Coco. The restaurant is so vibrant and colorful, the staff are warm and friendly. This is such a beautifully decorated place, itās nice to see something open up in the area. The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the Carnitas Mexicanas, the pork was nicely seasoned, tender, and succulent. The nopal cooked in with the peppers and onions were great as well, they add a nice brightness to the pork, rice, and beans. Mom got the lunch fajitas, she went for chicken. She said it was grilled well, juicy, and flavorful. The chicken is a lighter option. We both had the Jamaica agua frescas, they added a nice refreshing sweetness -but not too sweet. We finished with the churros de canela, they were crispy on the outside and served hot and fresh. All of the food tasted delicious and made fresh. I canāt wait to go back and try more things! Iād recommend this spot. The only thing I wish is if they also had is chilaquiles because I havenāt found them anywhere up here. Iāve tried the shrimp fajitas here, just today and had to add it to my previous review. The shrimp were so fresh and flavorful; it was delicious! And the meal makes a great lunch with leftovers for dinner too. I...

We ordered from here for the first time yesterday after hearing excellent things about this restaurant. As my father and I ate, we quickly realized we were both experiencing an anaphylactic reaction as we both have a severe peanut/treenut allergy. I called the restaurant and was given an employee who did not speak English continuously asking me if I wanted to order, not understanding we had already ordered and me asking about peanut/treenuts in the dish. My mom called a second time asking for more information and they denied any peanuts/treenuts or cross contamination in their kitchen. Long story short, myself, PREGNANT, was okay, however, we had to call an ambulance for my father and spent the night in the ER. We are extremely disappointed this could have happened to us and the experience we had with the staff in a life/death situation. If you have an allergy,...
