The Original Italian Pizza — Restaurant in Town of Union

I’m told I should have gotten pizza. Instead, I ordered chicken parm that came with bread and dessert (apple pie). The bread was freshly made and was outstanding! Nothing beats fresh warm bread.

The spaghetti noodles were properly boiled from a box. The red sauce was a notch above ketchup. The chicken came from a frozen bag and was properly cooked with melted mozzarella cheese with Parmesan cheese on top.

The Apple pie was brought to my table in a styrofoam box. When I picked up the box to put in the take home bag, I could tell it wasn’t an empty box, but the weight was not that of a box with an Apple pie in it. When I looked. It was a sliver of a sliver of a small piece of Apple pie. I chuckled and pointed it out to the owner behind the counter. He didn’t care. His food reflects his attitude. The staff was helpful...

True to the phenomenon of weirdness in this area they fall right in. A pizza shop that what? doesn’t deliver to the colleges BU or SUNY Broome……ran out of pizza?….. And is closed on weekends. NEVER have I heard of such but then again, NEVER have I heard of a “sheet” of pizza? The hell? Is that a “sicilian” pizza? Oh no!! Because they also have “sicilian pizza on the menu, so Im lost, and I’ve NEVER had awful pizza until I got to Broome County. This is the best pizza in the entire Broome County. If you are from NYC this is the best pizza. Ny Pizzeria on Chenango st is garbage as is Nirchis and pretty much every single pizza place around. Willing to go to Whitney Point? VERY BLAND PIZZA. Would not go there again. I will take the time and effort to worn people that the pizza is very bland. Sure it’s edible but I was very disappointed with the lack of flavor. Crust or cornicione texture was ok, maybe an 8 out of 10 but very bland. Sauce was bland. Cheese was nice and gooey but bland. Pizza didn’t have any off putting flavors, just needed about 10-20% more flavor to the crust, 10-20% more flavor to the sauce and 10-20% more flavor to the cheese. If they could do that then their pizza would be 100% better and maybe the best in town. Of course nobody’s pizza is perfect but try Bud’s Place in Apalachin; Ransome Steele in Apalachin, Consol Family Kitchen...
