Honestly, the only good thing I have to say about this place is that the atmosphere was pretty (Christmas-like, but pretty never the less). We only chose this restaurant because it had a pretty good rating and the images of the food appeared to be delicious. Well, we were wrong and pictures are deceiving!

Our appetizer wasn't the world's greatest, but also wasn't the worst. Then only one meal came out and was just put on the table without a word (and put infront of the wrong person). Then a few minutes later one of our mango lassi was brought out with ice in it (no idea why, it was bizarre) and yet a few minutes later our other meal was brought out and then a few minutes after that our other mango lassi and other drinks. Now when I tell you that they messed up a mango lassi, I mean they really messed it up and it was both of them that tasted gross! And then the food gag! At least one of our orders wasn't horrifically disgusting, but mine... Mine was practically inedible and when I complained about it, the guy asked me if I had ever had that meal before and when I told him yes, he told me that it taste different than any that I've ever had because it was frozen!!! Yup, you read that right... FROZEN! I tried telling him it was disgusting because of the sauce, but he kept going on about how my meal was frozen and that's why it didn't taste good. Then about 20 mins of waiting for our bill, the first guy that we were dealing with sent over another guy to talk to us. He asked me the same questions and I answered the same. I told him that we have been waiting for our bill for about 20 minutes he then went and got our bill. He offered to make me the dish again and I told him I absolutely was not interested, we had wasted enough of our time waiting and if it wasn't good the first time, it wasn't going to be good a second time. He tried to convince me to let him make it and that it would only take 5 minutes, and yet again I insisted I wasn't interested (probably just needed 5 minutes to heat it up in the microwave. We watched as every table got served at all different times with meals being brought out sometimes 10 mins apart for the same table.

Save yourself the time and energy and go to Royal Indian Bar and Grill in Johnson City. They have good food AND know how to make mango lassi AND know how to bring everyone's food out at...

Went back two more times: 1 to dine in, another time to do take out.

I don't know what changes happened but the food was definitely a step up from last time. I did not order Butter Chicken, but instead the Chicken Tikka Masala (close enough to the Butter Chicken) and it was FANTASTIC!!! I also appreciated that they changed their take out containers to help increase portion size as well. Overall, this has become my new go to Indian food restaurant in the area.

Lamb curry - friend said it was delicious and so good

Garlic naan - the naan itself was cooked to perfection, but the garlic pieces still had a sharp bite to them. They could have been cooked more to really get the flavor onto the naan.

Butter chicken - run far far away. This was truly and utterly the most upsetting part of it all. The sauce had no resemblance to butter chicken; it was broken and swimming in oil (check the fork to see how the oil sat); and it had no flavor. It was really, really bad.

Portions - honestly did not merit the price. We didn't get a FULL receptacle of the entree, AND also had it shared with lettuce/tomato (which we did not order). The veggies significantly cut into the portions. Again, had this been a $10 meal, it'd be no problem because it's like a lunch special. But this is not a full...

Read all these reviews and decided to try it out for the first time. Venue was decent. Ceiling tiles near the entry door had black grease, not a good look. Waiter spoke very fast and ended up giving items not ordered. Both chicken and goat Biriyani rice was Bland. Asked for yogurt for the rice and was given watered down version of it that didn’t look eatable. The lack of Proper communication was insane. I asked for 4 to go containers for the 5 plates of food I had on the table I was given 2! I asked again for 2 more bc of the amount of food needed to pack away, the older man gave me full Attitude and started speaking his language with his coworker. He then proceeded to to stare at me as I packed all the food and showed attitude as if asking for 2 more containers was such a problem for paying customers! Will Never return to this place. Terrible customer service. And if you know what Bengali food should taste like you would understand how terrible most of the...

After a 3 hour workout, I was starving looking for something ethnic to stuff my face and feel full which led me to this place. Walked in and was immediately greeted by the gentleman working the bar. He was very warm, inviting, and accommodating. The restaurant has a very cozy feel to it, great place to bring a date. I ordered chicken Tikka masala, garlic naan, tea, and a mango lassi which came to $22. Quite pricey for one but I didn't feel cheated. My food was delivered quickly hot off the stove. Very large portions so I got exactly what I was looking for but the food did leave a bit to desire flavor wise. The chicken wasn't tender as I wanted... I felt like sometimes it was chewy and it was fighting me back from being chewed lol. The masala sauce lacked spice. The garlic naan was kinda dry. The food wasn't bad at all, just didn't blow my mind. All in all, great place with good food. I'll be back.
