Empire — Restaurant in Town of Union

First time eating empire chinese is years and its wasn't as i remember it to be. Ordered myself and family food varying dishes but all chicken. The chicken was a little dry maybe overcooked and the sauce didn't seem to have a lot of flavor. The vegetable egg roll was excellent.

I wouldn't say the food was bad by any means it just needs a little tweak. The inside of the restaurant was very clean even the cooking area which is abnormal for these type of restaurants. They do have drinks to purchase with your order on the counter chilled.

Please note that before going the restaurant to pickup food that they do charge 3.95% for ALL card transactions regardless of the amount. Debit cards are spose to be treated as cash according the merchant agreement but its not worth the hassle arguing. Avoid this by...

I have been getting food from Empire for years. Today 10/25 I ordered and picked up our usual. The pork lomein which contained very little pork, General Tso’s chicken which was super sweet, steamed dumplings were doughy and the inside meat/stuffing had a different texture, taste and meat was matted together. I called to see if the restaurant was recently sold. The old phone phone number I usually called rang busy the many times I tried. I googled the business and placed my order through a female who spoke perfect English. After eating I called back and spoke to a young man, who would not answer my question as to whether the restaurant was recently sold or if there was a change of ownership. UPDATE: I will no longer eat here due to the food quality taking a dramatic nosedive. I get the feeling that Empire is either under new management or they have a new "cook". The last three times I've gone, I have been less than impressed. When I got soup broth that was gray-ish and tasted like dishwater, I knew our association had ended. If they don't get the other cook back or LEARN TO COOK, I don't see this ending well.
