I've ordered here for a year and sort of bi-weekly for my Saturday cheat day treat and select a chocolate dipped waffle bowl BUT I always specify in my delivery orders that I want the peanut butter chip cone (since it isn't an option online but they have it in-store), and they always accommodate it! It's just one of those small-gesture nice little cutesy things. They also overlooked the utensils request a lot (I'm really bad about washing dishes), but if you want delivery and assuredly want utensils I found out that putting that you want 100x Utensils always gets you some, it's definitely hard to ignore that way.
A notable experience I had was a little whoopsy daisy moment one time where I put a street address in an adjacent zipcode in Vestal, called the store immediately after placing it and realizing the map was way off, then DoorDash just wouldn't let us change the address. So the manager refunded me on that one, let me place another order to the correct address, and lo and behold there was some Dasher confusion and my ice-cream ended up being stolen, which turned into some laughs over the phone and a complimentary ice-cream I could pick up the next day (since they were like, 15m to close that night). This sweetheart named Sydney asked if I could bring a venti mocha cookie crumble when I visited, and I obviously did.
While she was throwing my ice-cream together, we started talking about the Starbucks I worked at and how earlier that week an antsy Uber driver and one of my coworkers were having a squabble while she was waiting on a coffee in the lobby. I was like "Oh my god, I was working at the drive through that day and there was literally an officer at the window while that was happening, I literally told him we may need him in here" (I did but as a joke.. sort of), and we just yapped a bit. Overall, it was a really wholesome situation, so big ups and cheers to Sydney and the manager especially.
As always, the workers are always sweet as the ice-cream, the ice-cream itself has a premium taste to it, great consistency, quick, accommodating, very good deals at some points, tasty flavors, waffle cones are bomb, and undisruptive places to sit inside despite it being a relatively small place, especially outside on those warm...
Read moreNext week our son starts kindergarten, so we thought it would be fun to take a soecial trip 45 minutes, to the closest Cold Stone. To save time, we even ordered ahead on the app.
When we arrived, there was one family at the counter. We stood by the big “online pick-up” sign, figuring that was our spot. The employee cashed them out then turned and disappeared to the back without so much as a glance in our direction (we were literally the only people in the store).
Another family walked in and she help them. While making their order, a large group came in she jumped to help them too. Meanwhile, our little online order apparently became invisible. I even moved directly in front of the register ,but nope that didnt help. She still cashed out someone else right in front of me.
Finally, my husband and I both said “excuse me” at the exact same time (teamwork makes the dream work), and only then did ANOTHER coworker come over and say, “Oh, did you need something ”
It ended up taking nearly 20 minutes to pick up an online order… in a store that was basically empty...
Read moreSo we stopped by this place last night, for the first time in about 2 years. We ordered 2 large signature ice creams 1 medium and 2 of the smallest kids cones I have ever seen which were basically a 10 cent sugar cone with a few sprinkles and they literally had a TABLESPOON sized scoop of ice cream on them. I get up to the cash register and the price is $34!!!! I stare at the woman in shock...I repeated what we had bought and finally asked how much the kids TABLESPOON sized scoops had cost, and she stuttered $4!!! I blankly stared at her and said WOW $4 for something that literally cost about 40 cents to make....Now you can get a LARGE SUNDAE at most places for that price. Not IMPRESSED AT ALL with the prices. Pure GREED at its...
